Don't get a columbus for the fabia. Although it fits etc, it was never sold as an option for the fabia. Because of this the sound output to the fabia speaker set up is awful. Overly sharp and almost piercing treble with no real control. The only way to correct this is to run an external amp and change through vcds to use the amp rather than output directly. I just got rid of my columbus partially for this reason. The amundsen was actually sold with the fabia and produces a much better sound quality. Just search for the forums for "columbus treble" or variations of and you will see the story over and over.

Not sure on the part number. It was ordered from awesome gti though.

It's more the angle of the photo. It doesn't matter too much where they are placed, as long as they don't foul anything. The rarb is tight and not going anywhere!

Finally got round to fitting my h&r springs & h&r rarb. What a difference! No body roll, the front end turns in properly and although it's a firmer ride, imo it's better than on the standard springs. Only problem now is the tyres. The conti sport 2's really suffer in the current weather conditions. They need heat and dry conditions to perform. Tempted to change them as their winter grip level is poor. Although it's been said 1000 times. Springs and rarb are the best investment for your vrs!

Would be perfect if you don't mind helping at some point.

Up for sale is my Columbus Sat Nav. Only purchased about a month ago for £520. The unit is great, however I bought it for my job as I travel a lot (sat nav). Comes with GPS Antenna and Radio code card. Below are the spec details from when I purchased. Looking for £460. Buyer to collect from Reading, Berkshire. Or can arrange courier at your cost. Posted this a while ago but forgot about it until skoda could take a look. So dsg in manual 2nd gear and above, on the throttle up to anything above 2k Rpm, come off the throttle to let the revs drop and there is a loud very fast clicking/ chain type noise coming from underneath. Very noticeable from outside or with the Windows down. Skoda tech apparently couldn't hear it when he just drove it (no exaggeration, it's pretty easy to hear!). Not saying it means something is broken, but it also doesn't sound right. Anyone come across this before? Mine's a 14plate vrs. Cheers.

Heaters not functioning properly

Just to check, you do have the vents open right? Under each individual vent is a wheel that opens/ closes the front vents -
Dash command is both android and ios. Just search for it in the relative app store. All you need after is a bt/wifi odb2 adapter. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=331206015268&alt=web

Just to throw a contrast. I know someone that works as a race engineer for a motorsport team. He thinks the obd adapters on things like timings are pretty damn accurate outside of natural spedo tolerances. It's simply a register of first speed to a preset end speed, there is very little to go wrong. Personally, I think everything needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, but the adjustment required on something like this will be so minimal that it can be ignored.

Yep is a cthe. It was also damp and first gear spun. I think 6/ 5.9 is consistently achievable in the dry. When we have a good day and dry weather will get back onto some private roads and try again.
-
I have one and dash command. Was messing around in my cthe the other day and managed 6.1. Still didn't get 1st gear launch 100% right either
-
Yep, that's a common name for them. I was more asking if the vcds coding is possible

Haha welcome to the club! -
Anyone know if theres a way to get the Vrs DRL's to come on when the car is unlocked? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I'm not debating they do or don't. I have a cthe, I would love it to produce more power. But realistically, unless you have both together in test conditions, results have to be taken with a big pinch of salt. I'm not a tuning expert but I have seen differant rollers and condition produce vastly different results on the same car.
