    Extraordinarily good
  2. Has it had any engine mods for insurance purposes please?
  3. Hello guys, How much are such repair kits, and where could they be bought? Also, how can the drivers seat be removed and un-dressed/re-dressed please? Please forgive my clumsy questions, I just wondered because I test drove an Octavia vRS today with a faulty drivers side seat (did not heat). The heated control roller-switch is lit and increments 1-2-3...etc...3-2-1 when you roll it through. The passenger side seat I am lead to believe works and heats-up. Weirdly, though, and this may be a mistake on my part, but whilst the engine was running and the blower was on full to demist the windscreen, I rolled the drivers heater control to-and-fro, and I could have sworn that for each of the increments the blower changed tone ever-so slightly. Again, I may be quite wrong about this, but it may have done this. Basically, this is a feature that I was really looking forward to having in this car and I really want to know how hard/costly it would be for this to be investigated and fixed. Thank you all very much.
  4. Hello, Thinking of upgrading my faultless Skoda Fabia vRS '04 PD diesel for a Skoda Octavia vRS diesel Estate. My question is, does anyone know the engine codes for the Octavia that will help me identify whether the engine in the Octavia is either a PD or a CR (Common Rail)? I invite any related comments about pro's and con's of any engine too. Thanks in advance.
  5. I can't seem to register my vote - it keeps on telling me I am 'not allowed' !? Anyway, clearly I'd vote "TDI Manual" given that my manual diesel Fabia vRS MK1 is still going strong at 217,000+ miles now. An amazingly simple design, without highly stressed engines that cruises all day still turning in 55MPG on average and I don't drive it like a grannie either. I cannot complain, and as a result of my great experience, I know that at least 10-other people have bought Skoda's, many from my dealership too. Has anyone seen the WhatCar? "First view" video? Enjoy.
  6. I know, I know. I was kind-of saying that tongue in cheek really, after the palaver I suffered 10-years back with the cr@ppy MINI Cooper Ss. I'll let you all know how much The AA/Halfords try and sting me for...
  7. My 100% reliable 215k (two-hundred and fifteen thousand) miles have just come to an end with a suspected turbo failure. I am very sad :(
  8. Sadly this dealers Bilston site is no-longer a Skoda agent. However Autosales still has a sole Skoda dealership in Burntwood.
  9. If I've got OEM Xenon's, would my car run H3's as well? In which case, anyone used these as their FULL/HIGH Beam please? http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/osram-night-breaker-unlimited-h3 (OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER UNLIMITED (WAS PLUS) H3 Fog Lamps) Thanks.

  11. jars, could you refresh the picture please, as I would really appreciate knowing more about what it was he pulled on to resolve this, as my Fabia vRS is red-lighting/buzzing. THANK YOU!
  12. I saw this video and thought of your car... ~7:31minutes
