  1. Any pointers as to where and how gratefully received!!
  2. Just fitted my Columbus which, had the quadlock not been a bit stubborn coming out of the Bolero, took about 10 minutes. Full integration with maxidot (07/57 Scout) but MFSW doesn't appear to work. I now have 'factory fit' sat nav plus Bluetooth all for around £300. Stream -> Bolero -> Columbus in less than 6 months!
  3. Apart from a slightly stubborn quadlock, it took me 10 minutes to swap my Bolero for a Columbus (thanks Eddie!). As a added bonus, the nav directions are on the maxidot without needing any re-coding! For £230 (unit plus surround) I'm a happy boy!
  4. I swapped my Stream for a Bolero and added a Bluetooth module. I'm no tech wizz but it was remarkably straightforward, having the benefit of some really good advice on here. I'm about to fit a Columbus to replace the Bolero - total cost will be £300 (assuming I can sell the Bolero). The Stream I'll probably hang onto for when I sell the car.
  5. Yes. 07/57 pre-FL Scout. Not trying to flog you my Bolero but I much prefer it to the Stream - just looks better. I can live without the climate repeaters and use the mirrors that Skoda so helpfully fitted when reversing. ;-)
  6. Delivered! Thanks Ed, now to get home and fit it...
  7. Dave - I'm told the trim arrived today. Great service, thanks! Oh, and it's work, not hols... ;-)
  8. A Bolero replacement is what you need...keep an eye out for an ad as soon as I get chance to swap it for my newly-acquired Columbus.
  9. Does the nav incorporate traffic info on these units? Also is it compatible with Bluetooth module 7P6 035 730 F? Thanks
  10. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but any update? These are on BOGOF with National at the moment, So coming in at £231 for 4 of the 94Y rated XLs. But do I need XLs or will the 91Y suffice?! Pre-FL Scout. Thanks.
  11. Was that at a Skoda main dealer? Last few days tells me mine needs looking at...
  12. I think you're being generous even asking what to do. The initial giggling, seatbelt warning & nature of the drive says it all to me. They (sounds like two of them) were taking your car for a razz. I'd go to the manager and, if it's a national chain, email a copy of that video to their head office. I think you'd even be justified taking it to the police as he was arguably driving without due care & attention.
  13. Just to add some balance from one who has done just that... Bolero was £100 from the classifieds on here. Bluetooth module was £100 from eBay. Fitting was free & easy - using some top tips found searching various threads on here. You do NOT need a new surround; the Bolero is the same shape as the Stream. You can stream from your iPhone/iPod over BT (or use the AUX input) but I'm slowly getting my tunes into a 32Gb SD card. I have to say the Bolero looks way better than the Stream, is easier to use & the phone function is far better than the basic Parrot system I had before. I don't miss the climate or the parking info. If you can find the parts at the right price, do it!
  14. Thanks. Micheldever Tyres is on my way to work so will see what they can do - usually pretty hard to beat. Have looked again and have the Barum Bravura 2s on the rear so will take a look at those.
  15. Thanks. At £87 delivered, I guess it'll be nearer £100 a corner for those...seem to get v good reviews though. http://www.oponeo.co.uk/tyre/goodyear-efficientgrip-performance
  16. The prices on that site seem very reasonable - and it even suggests the correct tyre size (unlike BlackCircles for example). My Scout currently has (incorrect) 225/45R17s on it - Barum on the rear & an unrecognised brand on the front. Any recommendations for decent mid-range replacements? It doesn't go off-road much but does battle some shabby country lanes around here.
  17. What a numpty...helps if you have the ignition on! And to think they trust me with airliners...Thanks again adamal
  18. Update... Is this just a plug & play unit? All the connections seem to have worked, and the Bolero now recognises that there is a phone option. What I can't figure is how to actually connect the phone. Any help greatly appreciated.
