I too work for Toyota and had our GT86 Demo for a weekend. Its not a fast car in straight line, its just about enough, but its by far the best handling car I've driven. Its just such a pleasure to drive, I found myself taking the long way home, or the long way to work or just the long way anywhere. I love the way it looks, ours is a dark blue one, but having been on the training course around donington, I would take a black, white or orange one. Its an easy car to live with everyday, the ride isn't hard, its not crashing over bumps or anything like that. Its the type of car that you just want to take for a drive anywhere, you get looks off people as you go past too which is a bonus in a Toyota! I seriously looked at buying one after my weekend with the car, I just couldn't quite afford one, however as soon as I can afford one, I'm getting one. Its probably not just the best handling car I've found myself driving, in my rather limited life of driving cars, its the best car I've ever driven. Sorry if I sound like an advert for the thing, I just really really like it.

Hi, daft question but does this allow you to connect your phone to the Columbus unit and controll it through the unit?

If you couldn't have a Skoda what would you have?

Mine would be a GT86, every time I drive one at work I want one. -

New vRS owner, tyre advice needed

Thanks for the help guys, I looked at some Hankook tyres but the good ones only seem to be summer tyres and I'm looking for some all year round ones, will probably give the Michelin PS3 ones a go -
Hi guys, I've just got a new Octavia vRS TDi and it's got some god awful budget tyres on the front. I'm going to get some new ones and was thinking about getting some Michelin Pilot Sport 3 but wondered what peoples experience with them were. I know on the Fabia's people go with the Uniroyals and Toyos but not sure about the Octaivas. Thanks

Show me / Recommend me your headunits
MattyD replied to DanHam's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I had an Alpine CDE113BT in mine, was a great head unit, was only about £130 if I remember right, USB and iPod connectivity, had Bluetooth as well. Sold it to devonutopia when I sold the Fabia. -
I did nearly get another MK1 Fabia vRS SE but the prices of them are still sky high, got the Octavia for £1k more than I was going to spend on a Fabia. Thought it would be better in the long term with it being a bigger car with more room in. It's going to have to go some to beat my Fabia tho, was a great little car that.

Well I sold my MK1 Fabia vRS in march and soon realised it was a stupid decision really. Bought a Leon FR TFSI and after the initial few days, just started missing my little Fabia. I've looked around at a few cars recently, Audi A3's, Golf GT TDI's, Octavia and Fabias again but couldn't find one that didn't look two different colours, had bad repair jobs or looked like they'd been clocked. Then last night I went to look at one and bought it. So next week if everything runs smooth I will be the proud owner of a 07 plate Octavia vRS TDI. It's only done 45k, in race blue with the 18" alloys, Columbus Sat Nav and a 6CD changer. It's in really nice condition and only had 2 owners. Needless to say I'm rather excited again.
