  1. VWFS will extend your lease no problems. My mate was due to.return his 220tsi Octavia on a 3yr lease. He rang them up and extended it by 12 months and they reduced his monthly by £55.
  2. It's surprising what mpg these engines can achieve isn't it? I got my new sportline last week, albeit it's not the 280tsi, it's the 220tsi. I took it to chester at weekend and it returned 41mpg. Well happy with that
  3. When I activated it it looks like the connected 'safety systems' so the cars ability to call emergency services/breakdown in case of accident is valid until 2030+ (I can't remember the exact date) The connected infotainment systems such as the ability to download traffic, get fuel prices from petrol stations, number of spaces and prices for car parks etc only lasts for 12 months. After which you have to pay, not sure on prices yet as it doesn't tell you until you renew it and you can't click renew until it comes up to expiry date if that makes sense.
  4. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F321712535107 This is the one I got. A lot cheaper than what I paid directly from three. Why did I not look on eBay first?!
  5. £40 or you can buy 24gb which lasts 2yrs for £60. Seeing as how the Skoda connect licence only lasts for 12months before you have to pay for it I thought id throw in the 12gb card for 12 months. How long it lasts or how often I use it will remain to be seen.
  6. I've just bunged in a 'three' data SIM with 12gb preloaded which lasts for 12 months. See how it goes.
  7. I think the 9.2 Columbus is standard now. I collected my 220 sportline on Wednesday, ordered mid December. It came with the 9.2 Columbus and mine has been at the dealers since start of march.
  8. Not tried to actually lock a key in the car but I did have my kessy key in my bag yesterday. Opened the boot put the bag in and shut it. Went to open the door and it wouldn't open, but when I went back to the boot it had unlatched itself. I'm assuming kessy won't allow you to lock the car if there is a key inside. I know my wife's qashqai doesn't.
  9. Let's hope it's easier than Volvo. I once bought a spare key for a Volvo I used to have as I bought it sexong hand and it only came with 1 key. I thought I'd buy a second for resilience. Had to be programmed in Sweden then sent to the dealer/approved specialist. £550! Needless to say my Volvo only had the one key.
  10. I didn't ask but that's exactly what I'm going to do. I've got to empty the car so I'm going to give it a vac. We'll see.
  11. Well BCA have just been to inspect my Octavia Vrs prior to it being collected tomorrow. I knew there was a few things wrong mainly alloy wheel scuffs, new tyre needed due to side wall cut and a dent caused by some scumbag with a shopping trolley. All in all I'm pleasently surprised with their charges. 3 X alloy wheel rufurbs £36 per wheel. I'd been quoted £90 per wheel when I was going to get it done myself. New tyre £136. I paid £130 per tyre last time I had them replaced. The dent was charged at £138 and another small dent he found along the roofline which was charged at £36. The most annoying thing is he's charged me £27 for cleaning the vehicle as he said the carpets are heavily soiled. They're not it just needs a hoover. My own fault, I should have cleaned it prior to inspection. Total charges £444 All in all I'm reasonably ok with the charges. I knew I was getting stung for at least 2 alloys, would have cost me £270 just for 3 wheels and then there's the tyre and sent that I knew about. Had I had it all sorted prior to inspection it would have cost me more than £444 but more importantly to me is the time it would have taken me to sort it out. Hassle I don't need. Role on tomorrow when they collect it and I get my new whip!
  12. I'll definitely post some pics when I get it. I'm on nights all weekend so it'll probably go pretty quickly. It'll be Monday and Tuesday that drag. BCA are inspecting my Octavia on Tuesday then collecting it on the Wednesday, it's going back a month early as my superb has been sat waiting for me since march. The current lease has been settled with the last payment this month so they can have it back. Is it Wednesday yet?!
  13. Quartz grey......I initially went with dragon skin green but bottled it half way through the order! Hmmm, a box of doughnuts to the right people should see me right I didn't, but I did consider it. So glad I changed my mind now.
  14. Well time has gone pretty quickly since I ordered my superb sportline 220dsg and it shall be mine on Wednesday. Getting bit giddy now. Looking forward to going back to petrol after 12 years of diesel ownership.
  15. I had a German shepherd who I tried to crate train. Wasn't happening and she tipped the cage over going that berserk inside it. I just left the cage open and gave up. After a few days she became curious and would go for a sniff and explore. A few days later that cage was her kingdom and she used to go in it as soon as you mentioned the word bed. She crate trained herself!!
  16. I may be wrong here but there's a chance the switched live fuses that you are thinking of using, ie rear camera, heated seats etc, may well be switched. There's a chance they will stay live for a few minutes once the ignition is switched off but after a set time switch off and stay off until the next time the ignition is switched on.
  17. I may be seeing but I thought 4x4 was only available on the 190 diesel or the 280 petrol.
  18. Not about not caring per se. It's about having the time to target low level stuff like this. Like it's already been pointed out, not enough cops on the streets.
  19. Haven't got my superb yet but I believe all supervisor have WiFi access. Can you not save all your saved locations into Google maps then send them to the car? I'm totally clutching at straws here and don't know the ins and outs of the system yet so apologies if that's no help
  20. Mine was being built this week too. Can't have it till may though as the lease on my Octavia Vrs doesn't end till 14th may
  21. Maybe it's a known fault because mine has done exactly that, I've even cut my finger on it before now. Ive never done anything about getting it sorted though
  22. Really? I'm currently in a MK3 Octavia Vrs until my sportline is built and my lease ends. The difference between sport and normal in my car is like night and day.
