Mine was working flawlessly and then started doing this. I presumed it was because the GPS antenna on the car had failed or was poor. The head limit GPS doesn’t sync now. Maps thinks I am in the sea or crossing France. CarPlay works just fine I was going to pull the unit and plug in a spare GPS antenna and see if that cured it.

Apologies on digging up the old thread but this may help others. I was looking for the bolt part number as replacing our rear coil that's broken and couldn't find it, but had a check of the parts diagram here https://www.lllparts.co.uk/en/product/hex-collared-bolt/mpn/N10628601 I believe that the bolt is actually part number N106 286 01 I believe which is why it doesn't appear. I think it's a typo in the original post chimaera? If bought as a set it's a bolt that's M12X1.5X75 and a M12 locking nut N10106402/N10628601 Part numbers listed above to help with any people arriving here on Google searches!

Have you paired it with the car/radio? May sound like a daft question. I can't remember if I paired mine using the MFD display or the radio itself.

Have you disabled your old Bluetooth module in the car (if you had one)? Has Bluetooth been enabled on the new radio?

Just curious 2011 Superb Greenline, does anyone know the dip beam bulb type? Mine are not as bright as I would like now so I was going to replace the bulbs. I think they are H7, but just wanted to ensure I don’t have Xenons. Our headlamps don’t do the auto rise and fall on startup so I presume they are standard bulbs.

I did. If you check my topics and posts you’ll see an entire thread for not. Basically bought the radio from a Yeti and got it coded. Few extra bits installed as well. I bought our radio from retrofitsw.co.uk. You’ll likely need to add a microphone and disable/unplug the old Bluetooth module.

So tried pressing and holding the +/- roller a couple of days ago and indeed Siri does come to life! Appreciate it's a retrofit so going to operate slightly differently. Thank you Langers2k and all, I will keep an eye out for a wheel to pop up at the right place, hopefully with an airbag with it!

Ah I will have a look at codings later. I can grab a mk3 wheel with the next parts purchase, is there a specific part number or car it should come from? I miss my old flat bottom vRS wheel.

So I can't get the MFSW phone button working correctly with CarPlay. When pressed it just shows the CarPlay info in the MFD (photo attached of result). I've been in and pulled my VCDS logs for the Amundsen unit on 5F and the car itself. I've checked the coding for byte 16 and the button is enabled. It works correctly for standard phone mode as far as I can tell, pushing it tends to redial the last number. My basic logs below - the battery regulator fault I believe is because of the car detecting a parasitic draw from my dash cam I was installing at the time (now with parking mode added) which no longer causes issues. Is there a way to show CarPlay info in the dashboard mfd? Mine all works but when I look at media or telephone info it just says “CarPlay” or similar in the dash. Just curious if that’s a coding issue or a feature that you can’t change. Was that an estate install or a saloon? Looks decent!

Has anyone repaired scuffs to their alloys themselves with any decent results? I am looking to repair the kerb rash to all four of the Spectrum alloys fitted to our Superb (done by previous owner). My plan is to sand the scratches down, and then paint and lacquer them but I am curious about paint codes etc or if I should just take it to a professional to get them done and save myself the agro!

Has anyone got any advice for buying a used Greenline? Years ago we had a lovely VRS, but now coming back to the fold and after a high MPG estate. If I can get a Superb on budget that'd be great but I think realistically we are looking at a Fabia Greenline or Octavia Greenline in the 4-6k price range with less than 100k miles on it. Has anyone got any advice for things to look for and be wary of in the used car market on the 1.2 and 1.6tdi models?
