  1. with more horse power what do you expect? oh and it only weight around 150kgs more, so not that much heavier really?! Once mapped it would rape it. and no its not an average reps car is it? its an SRI! as in vauxhalls attempt at a hot hatch, then theres VXR which is there attempt at performance. Why are u on a Skoda forum if u cant credit the car?
  2. lets just say i tested the top end on my VRS fabia on some private land (130mph)
  3. Indeed they do give an illusion with all the torque, i agree, but its still reasonably quick. I dont know of that many 130bhp dieslels, out of the VAG, i mean for examply there is my dad vectra 1.9 CDTI running approx 150 bhp, our cars are about equal, but his is an SRi too, so again, its one of the better diesels, and my insurance is cheaper than insuring my previous car, a 1.0L Suzuki Swift, by a 100 quid, dont even know why but still.....the Fabia deserves credit, you cant say its slow, bcos it isnt, what people do need to realise is that it isnt a supercar, its a hot hatch! :P
  4. In my opinion, the main problem people have on here, is accepting the actual performance of the VRS, you can't say its not a quick car, cos it is reasonably quick, when re-mapped your in Civic Type R territory, which i consider pretty quick, but on the other hand compare it to an Evo FQ-400, which i consider stupidly quick, and it makes the VRS look like its parked up. As far as an everday/hot hatch goes, its a quick car, probably one of the quickest, but it isnt a performance car. The posts which people do go on about what they beat are quite frankly a bit boring, most people on here drive same/similar cars anyway so they know what the car is capable of, therfore we will know your lieing when you say u nailed a ferrari 355! So in some aspects i do agree with rico, some i dont.
  5. what parts are missing exaclty for you to be able to fit Climate? my m8s seat ibiza FR has it, looks same size box, i unerstood it only worked using the same basice, heater and air con, but has a temperature sensor....so what else is required? why can you not jus put this unit striaight in? sorry if that seems obvious and daft, but im not that technical :P
  6. astonishing, what a feat, i would have deffo being the boring man and just bought a VRS, put FMIC and big turbo on
  7. I may get a bit bothered, but not as botherd as the guy who got done in the scooby :P
  8. Welcome matey. I dont know much about the Octys myself, but if there anything like the rest of the range, i would say there good runners and tough engines. I think normally if u get one from a Skoda dealer you get a years warranty with it anyway, so if your unsure go to a main dealer.
  9. Me in the middle:P, v drunk, and dodgy pose.
  10. cheers for your help guys, off out now, in the dark to try it
  11. Hey guys, cannot seem to find pins anywhere, and dont really fancy a journey all the way to Skoda just to have my head unit removed, is there anywher ei can buy the correct pins? or can i remove it with some kind of paperclip bodge:P lol. Any help or advice appreciated, Thanks.
  12. Hi there guys and girls, just got my new Fabia VRS on Satuday, well happy, just wanted to say hello to everyone. Cheers, Danny
  13. sorry guys, i think i may be the only person here brave enoughto say this, but that is one ugly car, it has a slight shape like a swift, but i think you will probably find it looks more like Daihatsu Sirion (98-05) model. esp from the front, i think it looks cheap and tacky, and would not buy one. sorry to be so harsh.
