Done just over 1300 miles since owning and has been an absolute blast, I think the best thing I'd have to say about owning one is you don't appear loud and stand out from a mile away (unlike plenty of bright green Mk2 Focus RS's I've smoked ) I do travel to and back from Rainham to Ashford every week and I try to challenge myself to get the best fuel economy and the best I've recorded is about 42mpg, which isn't bad! One late evening I spotted a lonely Mk1 vRS on the M20 in the same blue colour in immaculate condition, went past it and gave it a "not bad" look, then proceeded to race it down the motorway until I had to take my exit Also gave it the 'one-click-all-doors unlock' tweak, as well as the beeps, not for unlocking though that got a little annoying quick.

I've been searching google for ages tonight but can't find anything concrete about whether or not the MkII can have this feature enabled via VCDS, I know about the beep to unlock/lock, 1-click unlock and so on but I only just saw about the coming home/leaving home feature using the front DRL's and thought it'd be pretty nifty seeing as most of the time I'm driving is in the evening. Can anyone here say whether it can be done or not?

Had this happen a few times and I keep forgetting when it's cold, it pings mid-journey and I immediately frown and go "...I can't be low on petrol alrea-oh it's just cold outside" :p

I'll have another look, I'm hoping I can deactivate it, either that or drop £70 on an MDI bluetooth module so I can at least control the music with the wheel controls.

I didn't know that I'll have a look shortly Yes there's nothing in the MDI port, just my iPhone in the Aux, strange thing is sometimes it can go to Aux almost instantly, others I'm waiting up to half a minute for it to do... something.

Hi all, had my lovely little '13 plate vRS for about a month and a half now and it has been pure bliss to drive around but there's just literally ONE thing that is annoying me and that's the stupid "Initializing MDI..." message that pops up every single time I turn on the ignition, I have my iPhone 5S plugged into the Aux for ease of access so I don't even use it but for some reason the MDI seems to just want to intervene even when it knows the only active input sorce is the Aux, I use it for both music and sat nav which is annoying when I have to sit there for up to 20s at a time waiting for Aux to finally kick in... and I sometimes forget how loud I had it previously and maybe even shat myself as I'm setting off If someone has either a solution or at least a remedy for this I will be eternally grateful, it's the only single issue I have but besides that a brilliant car :love:
