  1. If it's just things like one-click unlocking, locking/unlocking beeps, needle sweep, auto-lock e.t.c then Carista is a decent App to get on either iOS or Android, just requires a Bluetooth (Android) or Wifi (iOS) OBD2 adapter that slots behind the cover under the steering wheel, the one-click unlocking is free but the rest of the tweaks on there are paid but it's well worth it.
  2. Awesome I'll have to do before and after photos then haha can't wait to get it done at last.
  3. Just before I go on holiday next week I'm going to give the vRS a good clean and I thought while I'm at it I want to debadge it, I saw a Monte not long ago which had no "Skoda" and "Fabia" and immediately got a little jealous so are there any tips to removing the "Skoda" and "Fabia" from the boot? Would love a more simplistic rear end.
  4. Hehe yea the GF likes my vRS, on a trip down to Brighton I had to overtake a really slow commuter in a long stretch of road and I don't completely floor it very often but I couldn't resist and my god I forgot how much it goes, just wants to keep rocketing well past 110mph
  5. Yea that's the one, seems some have it on already and some don't.
  6. Just found another annoyance, yesterday in Brighton on my way into a car park as I'm pulling up to the little ticket machine thing... why's my window not going down?! I try press it fully so it comes down automatically like it should but it doesn't, instead it just comes down a few mm's then goes back up, so I try pressing it slightly so it goes down manually.... nothing, so I'm sitting here fighting with the window switch trying to open the damn thing, in the end I got it to go down by furiously pressing it, WHY DOES IT DO THAT!
  7. Silly me I had "Digit. Speed" unchecked in the MFD Data, must've been when I was hiding a few of the useless MFD info sreens when scrolling with the right-hand stick, sorted it now I have my big MPH display
  8. I don't know if it has anything to do with different model years, I might have another go if I get some spare time but I spent a good half an hour playing around with it with no luck.
  9. I tried all that but can't for the life of me figure out how to get MPH showing, I've set the language to Aus and enabled the alt. speed setting and it still doesn't appear :(
  10. Funnily enough mine does exactly the same, something else I'll have to raise with Skoda.
  11. Hm that sucks about the vents :| and I might have a word with my local Skoda guys and see if they can do anything with my headlights, just depressing when I have to question myself if they're actually working sometimes in dim environments.
  12. I don't find them very dazzling, but I've seen at least 2 new-ish VW's with LED strip-type DRL's that are huge, both in a 'C' shape on each side, now THAT is dazzling. EDIT: Found a picture:
  13. I have a few: Multiple presses of the key to completely unlock car (now fixed though but it was a little annoying when I first got it) Having to wait for the MDI to stop "initialising" so I can listen to music plugged into my Aux (can take between 5 secs and 30 secs for it to... "Initialise") The mute button on the wheel doesn't mute right away instead takes more like 3 secs to mute, then 3 secs to un-mute. For some reason my drivers side of the windscreen takes up to 3 times longer to clear than the passenger side on cold mornings. The stock headlights suck, so bad, my GF's Ford EcoSport puts them to shame. For a '13 plate car the interior and dashboard looks and feels very dated. It's a good thing I love the car for what it is and how it performs.
  14. I'm assuming if I were to change the coils it would invalidate my warranty with the chaps from Skoda down the road, because I'm interested in getting all new coils and spark plugs but would it be better just handing them into them when I'm due my service and requesting them to fit it... or don't you reckon they'll do that for me.
  15. I love that little black strip on the front splitter it really sets it off, where did you get it done?
  16. I can't really comment on that unfortunately, I want it myself and it says it comes with a fitting guide though, I think a handful of people on here have it fitted.
  17. It won't unless you really manage to bodge it to fit, they're 2 different bumper shapes between the Monte and vRS, if you want a front splitter though you can check out this one: http://www.maxtondesign.co.uk/product/fabia-ii/front-splitter-skoda-fabia-ii-for-rs.html
  18. Got my lowest mpg in a trip yet yesterday, thanks to a GT-R I was trying to follow
  19. 3k miles since 2013?! Not overly keen on the big black Skoda emblem on the bonnet, and as Furby said it desperately needs lowering with that colour, wheels look ok not my taste though
  20. I average about 43-50mpg in 40 miles to Ashford, however anywhere within 5-10 miles I'll struggle to achieve 30-odd due to the engine warming up, I only really like doing long trips :p
  21. Got the rear wiper on eventually, put it off for ages but found out how it fit and it wasn't like the front pair, the little cover where the button would be on the front pair slides across and reveals a hook-type connection, anyway I fitted it but now another problem occurs.... it keeps tapping my damn spoiler every time it's activated Seems to be because the Bosch ones have higher profile edges compared to the stock wiper it hits the underside of my spoiler each time it passes across the glass, not to mention it looks like it doesn't even clear as well as my stock wiper, what a waste of money...
  22. There is a toggle in Carista to enable/disable the DRL's so it might be that, can't think why someone would do that though I love my DRL's :P
  23. How does one remove the rear blade anyway? I didn't try extensively as I gave up when I found out it was the wrong size, but there's no push-unclip system that the front ones use so how do I remove it without breaking/snapping it?
  24. Oh for gods sake you're kidding me I just ordered the only other one stated for my model and that's the A330H... I didn't even see the A332H listed anywhere.
