  1. Ah yes, if you have the electric boot it should be opening with just a push indeed.
  2. Got some good new, saying my order might be built on week 22. Meaning the new 2017 model and on the same week that the model changes. Order date was 3 Jan.
  3. It's a worthwhile discussion I talked to my representative and was told it is indeed mandatory with a camera now, but there are still options. It can be removed and the hold plugged with a special kind of plug so you basically won't know it was there - can decide if you want it and put it back if needed. Haven't seen it up close - would be cool to hear from owners with wiper if they've looked at it and exactly how easily it removes.
  4. I guess it's possible that it's just simpler and cheaper to just order all 8" screens and simplify the manufacturing process and perhaps get better prices too. The cost of Bolero is higher on 2017 btw. Went from 270€ to 320€ here. There is no way the manufacturer price difference for 6,5" and 8" is 50€ Let's face it - you are not going to get amundsen or columbus only for the screen - you want the navigation, which bolero does not give.
  5. Looks like you have no choice now, if you want the rear camera, as it only comes with a washer, which only comes with the rear wiper :(
  6. I am getting KESSY for free, but i'm afraid i'll also be getting the rear wiper because i have the camera specced...don't like the rear wiper at all : / I wonder if it can be easily removed afterwards. Would love progressive steering too, but not if it means getting sport suspension.
  7. In my updated 2016 brochure it states Bolero, Amundsen and Columbus all as 8".
  8. That's hilarious. My dealer told me if i took stratos wheels, i'd get many many more weeks on my order...meanwhile everyone is getting stratos on their orders.
  9. The trims are different outside the UK - my base trim is the second lowest and looking ah the prerequisites, i'm going to need a lot more to get the cam : /
  10. Just got an update. My build week has not changed from 26 (ordered 3'rd january) and it was confirmed i'll be getting the new model (week 22+). In regards to that, since i specced Canton and not KESSY, they said i could cancel Canton or get KESSY for free..so i guess i'm getting KESSY for free
  11. Well, technically i ordered in 2015 but paid my deposit on 3'rd of January, so it was ordered from factory on the 3rd...at least that's what they told me. Estimated build is week 26..so more than 2 months to go... I'm pretty sure everyone that has ordered their superb before me has gotten it by now. (From my dealer) Last time i asked was 2 weeks ago and they said only 3 undelivered cars were ordered before mine. So...every car they get now was ordered after mine.... -.-
  12. Alright, thanks, i'm afraid i won't have that since i don't have traffic signs or high beam specced. Because they required some ridiculous extra crap to be added : /
  13. What hardware items were required to activate lane assist? Was it the higher resolution camera that comes with traffic sign recognition? I wonder if i can activate it on mine, having not specced anything very related to a better camera. (arricing in several months..) I have an SE equivalent i believe (Ambition spec, in the not-UK world) and ACC as the only extra that could barely relate to lane assist .
  14. Man, i would be pumped if i had his lead time. Ordered Jan 3 and got unconfirmed week 26 build : /
  15. Finally received a new build week into my blank spot. Set to week 26 right now. Order was week 1. Certainly better than 32, so that's nice.
  16. Ugh, i really shouldn't be reading this thread.. 14 weeks in and no build week given..
  17. It wouldn't be as frustrating if i wasn't car-less and wasn't planning to go riding around in the summer.
  18. Ordered week 1, last update was week 32 build. Yesterday i was told i don't even have a week number any more.
  19. Uh, yeah - trunk, boot, cargo area? different words for different worlds
  20. Tried it on a test drive hatch model. Pushed the button and tried to hold it back with one arm and basically could not do it. And i'm not that skinny a guy. It pushed on my arm hard enough that it started hurting quite a bit so i pulled my arm away from under it. A pet or a child would definitely get hurt very badly if they were to get caught under it. Not sure what would happen if i just left my arm completely under the hatch. It did not seem to want to stop at all. The additional danger is if you load your trunk up too high so the glass will touch your cargo. Pretty sure many things would break under the force.
  21. Harsh I've read other comments on the looks too but i think it looks fine and is as practical as the Superb itself. I think the downfall is the rather steep base price compared to the series 3 sedan and touring.
  22. Damn, i'm so tempted to pick up a BMW 320d GT. Similar to a Superb as in liftback and very roomy and loaded with extras. It's a used one but fairly new at 12/2013 registered and 32000km on it. Only 2000€ more at 30k €. (The extras put the price at 55k when bought so it really looks like a steal) Too bad the insurance is will most likely be quite a bit more expensive. Why are you making me look around at other options, Skoda :(
  23. Since my superb is HEAVILY delayed, i'm looking around for alternatives and the A5 caught my eye - if i could get some decent discounts on it, of course. Does anyone here have any experience with the audi? I was looking at the A6 too because there is a "-20% from the final price" discount going on, but i would very much prefer a liftback model. I'm mostly worried about overpaying for an older model, since the tech etc seems kind of dated when compared to the newer A4 and A6 models and not a lot seems to be available. I couldn't find a reversing camera extra from the configurator, for example Any feedback from owners or previous owners is welcome.
