  1. Yeah that's not right at all lol it's supposed to be a flush connection pipe to the front
  2. It's a good point but perhaps he wants to keep it factory state
  3. Coil pack has been changed and it is now running perfectly fine :-) Thank god!
  4. Please in my head it's a plug on coil pack Don't take this relief away from me!
  5. Oh yeah the journey was no where near as relaxing as I thought just a lot of cruising and feathering the pedal as soon as it shook, but thinking it was the clutch I thought I was going to be stranded on the middle of nowhere lol
  6. Hi all today I've been on a 300 mile trip today but only after the first 20 miles after some thrilling driving on a twisty road I noticed a hurrendous shake from the car everytime I went near the pedal putting power down and no power was being generated I started to notice through the trip if I gently pressed the peddle, easing the power on that it would not shake and would gain power My first thought and my heart literally sunk, I thought my clutch was slipping and my flywheel had failed causing the knock Only on the way home on the LAST 20 miles I was trying to keep my speed up as I had a car behind me and I had my foot pressed down on the peddle for much longer than I wanted too and to my surprise I got an engine management light flash at me! So when I got home I stuck the code reader on to find misfire on cylinder one OH MY GOD IM RELIEVED
  7. ram air and revo are all designed to fit perfectly quality of an iduction kit can only be so good and theirs is pretty damn good
  8. I probably cover 4 miles a day to my work before i go off delivering parcels You will get 36-38 mpg with no red lights or traffic, I get this on Saturdays Or a usual weekday with usual traffic 26-30mpg This is with my car mapped and good fuel out into it
  9. Well I looked into my scanner a bit and it does actually have live data I took a few pics of each screen 9 in total, will upload after I'm not sure if it will be much use it seemed just like jargen talk to me
  10. when i say i have a scanner it's literally one that has its own program, i havent got anything that can connect to a pc or anything like that
  11. ive actually had it mapped myself with a blue fin map to 240bhp i only have a basic scanner for engine code erasing im not certain is can do that
  12. It's strange the amount of steam coming out is a lot, I usually see it when reversing but it's not much less than when you just start the car when it's cold like you would expect One thing that doesn't help is the blue tint mirrors lol but I'm pretty confident to say it's just white steam when I see it out of the Windows
  13. Ok thanks for the advice More info on my car 2.0 tfsi 2007 98k Undercover ex police full service history Oil used is 5w30 i believe castrol fully symph So the next easiest thing for me to check would be oily coils? Failing that I should get it compression tested?
  14. Only other think to note is that it has the slight occasional judder on idle which a few people suffer from which I believe is an intake valve being dirty Oh and I do notice the exhaust does seem to steam quite a lot even when the engine is full up to temperature, zero water is being used however maybe I'm just being paranoid
  15. I haven't really noticed blue smoke coming out of it reallyPCV is virtually brand new as mentioned It's a petrol so no EGR (I forgot to mention this)
  16. Changed the PCV for a new one 2 weeks ago
  17. Well I regret to report than the sump was bone dry The only place with a hint of oil was one of the intercooler connecting pipes, drivers side just around where the clip is If there is oil in the inter cooling does this mean my turbo could be leaking? Other than that could it just simply be my driving style using up oil? I use the car to deliver parcels, it gets to high speed runs I'm literally averaging 10mph a day and 20mpg
  18. I put 33 psi in all around as I don't want to go too much over the recommended but it just seems too soft, even shutting the doors makes the tyre wall roll
  19. well i don't know if it is the problem yet
  20. thanks, we change the oil in my dads van all the time though we know how to do it just it made sense to do it at the garage as a full service along with the timing belt. Thanks.
  21. Thanks all that's really great advice, I do want to change the oil myself at some point as I had the garage change it for me in a big service including timing belt when I bought it Will let you know what it's like this weekend it's the only time I'm free
