I've noticed a b-pillar buzz too. I normally drive with the music up so can't hear a thing, but recently I've been driving the car pool and I can't deafen them :P The noise seemed to come from where the seat belt runs out from.

So when I first got my vRS 230 I tried calling Chris Knott for a quote and was told I'd be wasting my time because I can't carry over NCD from another company and would have to start from zero. WF? How are they supposed to get new customers like this? I called another company too, can't remember the name now :( but they also told me I can't use a NCD from another company. Is this a new thing now? I thought NCD was transferable. After all this crap I ended up sticking with the same company I always have- Bell. Also strangely enough, while I was scoping out cars to buy- the Civic Type-R was like £100 cheaper to insure than the vRS. It has 60+ BHP over the vRS and is vastly more attractive to steal. What the hell? Insurance is like some kind of random number generator or something. No logic what so ever.

Same. The warbling burble when doing some silly acceleration is lovely. I don't care if it might be slightly fake, it does its job and I am not paying silly money in materials and fuel for the 'real deal'.

I've had the car for a little over a month now and I bought the Canton upgrade and yes it does get better with things loosening up. Though there is something wrong with the sub that the dealer has yet to get back to me on. (sounds like something has rattled loose inside on big booms)

My last car (and first) was a mk 1 pre-facelift Focus 1.6. I loved that car. I went on so many road trips with it, modified it, serviced it and took care of it. It was an emotional time to see her go but I sold her to a friend rather than scrap her (thank goodness!). I knew my next car was going to be new and it also had to be special. The vrs 230 is certainly a world away from my little ford box and like 90% of the stuff Ray complained about I absolutely love :P But bonding with it? Not yet, I bought it as a 10-year-car and I need to wear it in a bit more. Long road trips and adventures are good for that but I've only had it a month and just really broken her in. Next year though, we'll see.

You could try ordering some door card parts from the new facelift model. They look to be the same shape.

Is it fitted by default now then?

I can't recall exactly but it was about 5-6 weeks ago.

I've just hit 1k miles coming back from Oxford yesterday, I am going to try some 5-6k gear changes now to see how things feel. I was not letting it past 3k for the most part prior to that and it was still a damn quick car. (vrs 230, btw)

I think wireless charging was an option. My phone doesn't use it so I didn't order it and I can't check if it was thrown in anyways.

Sorry if this is a bit of a hijack but Is there only a limited selection of options that can be retrofitted or is everything available? Since taking delivery I am kind of regretting missing out adaptive cruise control and internet capabilities.

I don't think I have an 'I' position. But turning it to the passenger side worked out fine. Though I now need to adjust where it is pointing a bit. As for the Canton, I have pushed the sub up to max in the settings. I think max settings are making the boot floor vibrate but I am not certain. Do you know how the sub is configured in the Canton system? Does it face downwards?

Thanks guys. I've gone through the checklist so I'll be contacting the dealer next. SmartLink for Android Auto was a bit disappointing to be honest with the lack of applications that support it currently. Lets hope that changes with time.

Hi guys! So I have reached the end of my second week with my car and its great! But a couple things have come up that I need to get sorted out. I should probably talk to the dealer but I'll try here first to see if there are any quick fixes... Car is a vRS 230 estate btw. 1) Smart Gate- I've managed to connect my Android phone to the Smart Gate wifi but none of the apps seem to see it as connected. Any ideas? 2) Auto mirror tilt- One cool thing I found was that the mirrors would automatically tilt when I shifted to reverse, but for some reason that has stopped happening now. I have gone into the settings and made sure the thing was ticked and enabled. 3) Sub noises- I like my bass LOUD and had an aftermarket sub box in my last car. I thought I might want to install it in the new car because the Canton system didn't seem that bassy even with the sub turned to max. However, after a week of blasting it, it seems to have loosened up nicely and is lovely and boomy. However there now appears to be a sound like something has come loose and vibrats whenever the bass happens. I dunno if this is just the boot floor getting vibrated though. Thanks a lot for any help guys!

Its mostly multi-story carparks that get me. My old car bares a number of scars where I have tried getting close enough to the ticket machine to not have to open the door. Also the kerb on the junction outside my house. The amount of times I have clipped it in the morning is horrid. With my new car I'm taking a wide berth with every kerbed corner.

Hi guys So I'm on day 2 of ownership and loving it! But there are a few things I am struggling to do with the Columbus system I have. I have the Canton system but I would like to fine-tune the equalizer more than just push the bass up and down. Does the system have such and equalizer?

So I took my new ride out for a bit of a late night drive with a friend and I have to say I was ugly-laughing most of the way. This is an insane car, even with just restricting the power for the first 1k miles.
