  1. I have also moved to a 2021 model Superb from a 2016 and struggled with listening to my own music for a bit. I tried using a USB C stick and transferred the files from my old SD but I don't like the way the new 2021 media interface behaves. Playlists are particularly awkward. The best solution I have found is to upload all my music to iBroadcast (https://www.ibroadcast.com/home/). You can then install the iBroadcast app on your phone and play your music through Android Auto or just Bluetooth. I have found the latest version of wireless Android Auto to be pretty reliable. The basic version of iBroadcast is free and it allows you to store and synchronize your music on your phone. This allows you to play your music when your phone data is offline. iBroadcast organises your music library and you can also create playlists. Whenever I get new music, instead of having to update my SD card, I upload it to the iBroadcast cloud using their windows app (MediaSync Lite) and it automatically updates my library on the cloud and my phone. I believe you can also upload music to Spotify, but I hate Spotify.
  2. You could get one like this that has a remote and is rechargeable so you only plug in as needed: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Simpeak-Rechargeable-Operation-Adjustment-Function-Black/dp/B094J6J3J4/ref=sr_1_16?crid=S2BHTFB2AZMP&keywords=usb+car+fan+remote&qid=1654394619&sprefix=usb+car+fan+remote%2Caps%2C360&sr=8-16 I just ordered one to try with my dogs - mainly to disperse rampant gas.
  3. Finally found these Paddle Shift extensions to suit the new steering wheel: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003828294888.html?ug_edm_item_id=1005003828294888&edm_click_module=alg_product_3_6567712880&creative_img_ind=8&tracelog=rowan&rowan_id1=aeug_edm_14701_1_en_US_2022-02-08&rowan_msg_id=iandCOWS_210_$b760e2dff9e04268bf02fa4ecf066a04&ck=in_edm_other Think I'll go with black.
  4. Here's some updated instructions for MIB 3 systems with USB C that don't have a SIM (Aust and NZ): https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/Download/Map-updates-mib3.pdf Apparently you have to use the USB C port in the front panel. Once you've downloaded the files onto a USB flash and put in it the USB C socket, you just leave it there for a few trips while it updates. After a while if you check the map version it will have updated (at least it did for my 2021 Superb). Hope it works for you.
  5. Thanks for your observations, they helped prepare me for what to expect when I picked up my Sportline yesterday (upgrading from my beloved old 2016 206kw 4x4). As you have said, overall the 2021 is a great car, but the MIB III is underwhelming, slow and buggy. You mentioned that you've been using the USB A slot for music files. Like you, I was using an SD card in my old car so I transferred them to a low profile USB A a few weeks back in readiness. The MIB III plays music and playlist files fine, but seems to handle playlists differently than the old system. Most noticeably (and irritatingly) when the car is switched off, the system forgets what track and playlist were playing. Instead, when the car is turned on again, the USB takes ages to reload and then the system goes back to the first media file it can find and plays that instead. This does not happen when playing tracks from the Artist, Album, Genre and Track categories. Can I ask, are you using your own generated playlists and , if so, does the MIB III have the same memory problems for you?
  6. I found a couple of cheap plastic tapered 13.5oz cups that jam in quite tightly ( with the help of some rubber bands) and act as an adapter to provide a bigger aperture for larger cups. This allows us to use two 16oz double-walled cups. It doesn't look great but it works well and is very secure.
  7. This might do the trick: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174739327753
  8. I've also been trying to solve this for a new Superb Sportline. I don't know if they're interchangeable with the new Skoda wheel but this video shows an install of the Golf R paddles on a GTI and gives the part numbers in the text. Seems like they're v.expensive.
  9. Thanks very much for that. Looks the same as mine and, as you say, is easily seen from the side and rear, which I believe keeps it legal. I just prefer to see the little flashing light at the tip. I suspect the darker plastic lenses on the dynamic ones might prevent the light reflecting all the way to the tip. The original unit seems to have one just LED that is reflected all along the clear lens, rather than a strip.
  10. Can I ask, do the little repeater lights at the tip of the mirror housing (that you normally see inside the cabin) light up on the Dynamic Indicators you've installed? I've also installed similar Dynamic Indicators on my mirrors. Unfortunately, the little repeater light barely lights up at all (I've seen similar complaints elsewhere on Briskoda). I'm moving to a new Superb soon and I'd like to do this mod again but only if they're fully functional. Impressed by all the mods BTW. I've also got a thing for chrome bits and have done lot's inside and out - door handles, mirror caps, pedals, light switch surrounds etc - but the new car is a Sportline, so I'm going to have to get used to glossy black....
  11. I managed to do it with the help of this (translated from German by Google): LED-DRL only dimming in the blinking light phase (alternating DRL - blinker)   STG 09 (Central Electrical) access authorization 31347 Adaptation   Light2SL VLB10 Light function E2 Ants of flashing left active (both phases) on flashing right light phase "   Light3SL VRB21 Light function E3 Ants of flashing left active (both phases) on flashing right light phase "   If you additionally dimmed it on the flashing side to the light level, encode still the following   Light 2SL VBL10 Light function G2 Set to "flash left dark phase" Dimming value GH2 Set to "27" Dimming direction GH2 Set to "minimize"   Light 3SL VRB21 Light function G3 Set to "flash left dark phase" Dimming value GH3 Set to "27" Dimming direction GH3 Set to "minimize" Works perfectly on my 2016 280/206.
  12. You could try one of these (I did): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/222258277126?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It's a bit pricey but it fits nicely over the existing footrest and I think it looks good. It's the only RHD one I've found that gives the wider platform to suit DSG.
  13. Sure do, under the black rubber strip. I've got a Thule bike rack installed on mine.
  14. I hope you enjoy it. Mines been mostly brilliant so far. And since this is the picture thread......
