  10. I'm not so sure they are stuck, I think it's the linkage from motor to the flaps, so surley they will just sit closed once switched off? When inspected by the dealer they said every think was working fine!!
  11. Cheers Phil, spoke to darkside who said a similar thing about being tuned properly, speaking to a company called btg performance up newcastle were I live, the lad literally said straight off the bat I wouldn't need a gearbox map so fingers crossed, if not tuned properly would I feel this drop off in power and touque? So if it's not done right would I be to tell straight away or is the reduction minimal?

Hi, as the title suggests I'm going for a remap on my cr 170 TDI dsg equipped vrs, after alot of research and mixed opinions, I'm.still undecided weather to have the dpf deleted and egr deleted along with the remap or leave both in? 17. Hello, any help with this much appreciated, I'm looking to have my car remapped, has anybody had a remap done without having the dsg gearbox remapped? I'm worried that a remap may cause the gearbox to start shiffting funny as the power and torque would be spread different than a a standard map ! Any help much Appreciated thanks
  18. Hi, any help with this is much appreciated, I've recently had my mk 2 vrs cega engined cr170 to local Skoda dealers as I have an intermittent engine management light coming on, the dealer has confirmed the dreaded swirl valve fault code and is wanting to strip the wiring from the swirl valve motor to the ECU to rule out bad wiring at a cost of ยฃ240!! The cars done 74,000 miles, they tested the swirl flap runner motor and is working and getting 5v to it as it should, I've a strong suspicion the swirl flaps are starting to stick in the manifold hence the intermittent fault!! I know there's a swirl flap delete kit available, is there anybody on here who has had the swirl flap delete done? And also how has the car been since having it done? Thanks again for any info on this๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  21. Hi, thanks for the replies, just dropped car off at the stealers as I've an intermittent EML coming on, the lad said it Dsnt look like it's been updated, obviously I don't want it done, I've always stated that when took to Skoda dealers , it's just when I've used the official checker it's saying my car wsnt affected when I'm 99.9 certain it was, anyways wish me luck ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  22. Hi everyone, I've just entered the chassis number from my mk 2 Octavia 2.0 Cr 170 TDI vrs into the emission checker on skodas website and it's saying my vehicle is unaffected!!! Does this mean the update has been done or like it says! It's not effected?? I don't want the update but was under the impression all the 2.0 Cr tdis 170s were effected, thanks for any help with this
