Featured Replies

Hello everyone, any help or people who have had these symptoms would be much appreciated, I've a MK2 Octavia vrs with the 170 cr TDI engine code cega in it, I've owned the car the past 5 yrs so I feel i know the car really well, about 4 days ago I've noticed metallic ticking noise coming from the engine!!! This is apparent only when I touch the acellerater, at idle it Dsnt happen, I'm a little mechanicaly minded so I've took engine cover of and had me ear to the engine and the ticking noise appears to be coming from the fuel pump/timing cover area!! The wife has started the car this morning and has ran to say the EML is now on!! Has anybody had this process happen to them? Like I say I know the car really well, the engine is usually v quiet for a derv and like I say, metallic jangling noise appears at part throttle and now EML is on!!! The car is well taken care of , with t belt and pump done ect, FSH, car has wanted for nothing,  Any help much appreciated thanks for reading

No I've no equipment

Aldi had a code reader on specials this weekend. If you're quick you may still find one.

It is a simple combined reader and decoder aimed at people who do not have dedicated software to do the decoding.
