I appreciate all the comments guys, and I had thought of most of what you are all pointing out which is why I posted " Has anyone had a aftermarket sunroof fitted" so I could talk to the supplier about these concerns and see if it was indeed viable.

I have had this model setup for 3 weeks and 500 miles, so can't say about reliability, but she is so quiet quick smooth and economical, I love it!. And I have just had a BMW Z4 3 litre for the last 4 years.
