  1. Fabia MK111 2016. The drivers side window will go down but has become temperamental when selected up. It can take several goes at selecting the switch to the up position before it responds. Once it does start moving up it will close normally. Is this likely to be an issue with the switch or something else, perhaps the regulator? I have snapped a key blade. Any recommendations for getting a replacement blade, a new key fob and the associated expense is not required as the current one works?
  2. I just rang up my local Skoda dealer and ask the parts department for a quote and to tell me the part number. Unfortunately I don't have a record of what the part number is myself.
  3. Thanks for your response. Just to clarify did you just put the new battery in without draining the battery as in the video?
  4. Title should be 1.4tdi, for some reason it won't let me edit the post.
  5. Had mine done on my 2016 1.4tdi mainly through the fear factor of destroying the engine. Expensive at £400. I was reading that on the same engine in the Polo they only recommend an inspection at 60000. Unfortunately I don't know enough about cars to make a well enough informed decision but suspect I have waisted lots of £££££££.
  6. I was wondering if I could do a straight swap of the Bosch battery in the image for the original Varta battery without having to have the battery management computer recoded?
  7. Wife is down sizing from her Octavia which is nearly 15 years old and we are becoming a two Mk111 Fabia house as I have a 16 plate 1.4tdi Pre reg Colour edition, 8 miles registered on the 30th of September. Price was £13105 with little in the way of negotiation room. Paid the deposit yesterday and will collect next week. If any one fancies a similar car they have two others at £12900 without a spare wheel and tool kit at Rainworth Skoda.
  8. Have you seen these at Superskoda. I would be a little cautious of buying of Ali Express http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-III/Fabia-III-hood-power-damper-set-KI-R This is how to do it on an Octavia, I would imagin it is similar. It looks an easy job.

  10. Has any one replaced the drivers door seal? Is it easy?
  11. Could I ask if you replaced your seal yourself and if it was an easy fit as mine has a big hole in it and needs sorting before winter sets in?
  12. No problem. Owners manual available on line here https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Model/Fabia_NJ Make sure you ask for a printout of all the service history when you collect the vehicle as they no longer have a book for recording services.
