Couple of little updates, first of all had its MOT and another pass no advisories and some tlc for german invasion Pre registered for german invasion and was talking to bobby who has the darkside 1.6 tdi golf about going to it but as he lives in derby it is abit of a trek but then a few days before hand he told me he was going. People have been talking about me and bobby racing for nearly 3 years and even though we have met up a few times before its never been at the track. Race 1 bobby kept his road tyres on Race 2 bobby swapped over to his slicks Race 3 with data from vcds logs showing rpm boost and egt still struggling with wheel spin through 2nd so when racing a friend with a stage 1 dsg golf GTD i thought id try a little lift in 2nd so it stops spinning then back on the throttle again, think i lifted too much as it was my slowest time and trap speed of the day. When i viewed a couple of the pics from last time i thought the car was sitting too much on the 1st-2nd gear change and that was then lifting the front causing it to spin so thought id put the camera facing the back for the next run so i could see what it did. this one turned out to be my last and fastest run of the day, car ran 14.040 @108mph so exactly the same time as last time and i had a speed on one run of 110mph which are low 13 second speeds but wheel spin is killing it. Did notice the meth tank did have a small drip leak coming from the connector which ill need to sort out and find where its coming from exactly Really do love this car and still can't believe how far its came in 4 years as it will be 4 years next month since i've owned it- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Dirty delete but still these don’t use wastegates on vag diesels and because as greddy state they go up to 3 bar so 2 bar of boost 1 bar atmosphere. mine peaks at 2.4 bar of boost and settles at 2.3 bar which would be 3.4 and 3.3 bar.- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Brakes are fine on the road and track and stop just as good as big ap racing brakes when comparing logs. bilstien won’t make me a set of B16s- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*

No it won’t as I don’t have a wastegate to control and I make more boost than the sensor in that can read. Something that I might speak to darkside about or maybe it just needs a driver mod- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Yeah i've seen that, interesting build using the kodiaq vRS engine. Looked over the data comparing the 1.6 with the cr170 turbo and the new engine. 1st gear the 1.6 is quicker due to the amount of wheelspin the 2.0 has Into 2nd and they are pretty even again with the 2.0 struggling with wheelspin although the 1.6 had no wheelspin although the gearchange on the 2.0 happens 10mph later due to it reving to 5400rpm whereas the 1.6 was changing just over 4000rpm then it gets into 3rd and just buggers off. Really need to work out how to control the wheelspin in 2nd to help it get going better.- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
So day out a crail on sunday first time the car been drag racing since the new engine has been fitted. No real aims as i knew i'd have to re learn how to launch the car. Managed 13 runs all day with the fastest being 14.043 @ 110.3mph , fastest speed was 111.4mph so the car does not hang aroung. Had a few runs at 14.0 so seem to be a glass barrier for me as i couldn't break it. Traction was the biggest issue, car didn't get any traction till 3rd then it just seemed to take off as you can see in the videos vs M135i vs Stage 2 Fiesta ST vs Polo GTi vs Focus ST250 vs LET Corsa vs 310bhp stage 1 308 GTi couple of random runs and a shoot danny from Darkside Developments did- Fabia 1.6 TDI
