Turbo Swap Choices for EA211 1.2 TSI
You only knew after being pointed out that it wasn't the first and i hope you declare it to your insurance since you've already got a dangerous driving charge hanging over you after pulling on the handbrake and loosing control in a straight line almost crashing into a crowd of folk. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/idiotic-driver-almost-hits-crowds-20626128

Came up on my facebook memories today that it's now been a year since the engine change was done and had a look and it's done 18,700 miles in the last 12 months and that included being off the road for nearly a month while doing the gearbox swap and still constantly hurts the feelings of the mk2 Fabia vRS owners page.

Gave the car to a friend to take to Crail at the weekend for German Invasion. Was the busiest i've ever seen it so hardly any runs. Best was a 13.880 @ 106mph but they had constant issues their timing gear so not sure how accurate that is. I did take it for one run myself thought as i couldn't resist it. Also managed to get the 0-60 down to 5.8 seconds and 0-100 mph in 12.5 seconds

So had a look into why the speeds were down at Crail last time and it came down to a sticking calliper. Although i guess the fact that there was smoke coming from the drivers front brake after following a friends 415whp Starlet back home gave it away i guess it's expected though considering it's done 113k now. Had to paint it yellow to match the rest One of my friend's decide she was going up to practice drifting to Crail yesterday so decided to mix up some meth and have a trip up Managed to get a 0-60 in 5.82 seconds as well which is the 2nd fastest it's done. Best was a 13.856, with 3 runs in the 13's so becoming more consistant Vs a 595 vs 530D vs Golf GTi He stalled it on his first run though vs M235i- Bonneville Octavia

Only company worth looking at are RTMG- Bonnet vents
If it was smooth then it would just be a normal bonnet rally ones are still steel.- Bonnet vents
Don’t know didn’t ask id be amazed if it was 4kg of a difference. Mostly ventilation as I was having issues with oil temps but now I have the issue of it running too cool so the cooler is taped up mostly 🤣- Bonnet vents
Yeah it’s a S2000 bonnet direct from Skoda. Not cheap and you need to go through an application process which goes to the head of Skoda motorsport to decide if they want to sell to you or not too- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Slow at 111mph- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
First day out at Crail with the new 6 speed, some good runs. Interesting to note that even though i felt the car was lazy on the launch it seemed to be faster than the 5 speed in 1st and 2nd but at around 73mph onwards the 5 speed was faster. Wondering if it might have been wind speed/direction coming into it though. blue is 6 speed red is 5 speed- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Local bump in the road killed one of my wheel bearings. Fabia one ÂŁ90 Ibiza 6J estate one ÂŁ155 gotta love these rear axle upgrades.- DieselMonte's 2012 Monte Carlo Project.
How’s the vibration- What parts are interchangable?
He really doesn’t. I can’t even count how many times in how many different threads he’s had to be corrected.- What parts are interchangable?
Yeah the drums are much worse for seizing on compared to the drums. Just a shame you’ve got folk posting on here thinking they know what they are talking about but don’t actually know what they are talking about- What parts are interchangable?
Yeah cause the standard drums have the best handbrake in the world and don’t sieze. watch you don’t break that mirror- What parts are interchangable?
You’re only getting drawn into it as you don’t seem to want to accept they are actually different. if you use the search box at the top of the page you’ll find plenty of threads with the differences. Also if you plug in vcds you’ll see that nearly all the modules will come back saying PQ25 and not PQ24.- What parts are interchangable?
Wasn't just developed for AWD. It was developed for the new generation of engines and improvements that were found over the years from the PQ24 platform.- What parts are interchangable?
Not really only 1 PQ25 car used 4WD and the differences are well known.- What parts are interchangable?
No the Mk3 was a PQ26. The PQ25 was the Ibiza 6J, Polo 6c/r, A1- What parts are interchangable?
Thanks for confirming you don’t know much but we knew that already.- What parts are interchangable?
So he can ditch his drums and fit discs. - AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
