Especially during lockdown and a week between starts, it takes a me 15-20 minute drive before stop/start kicks in. I always assumed it was a battery charging issue.

I agree with your logic, but you still have to declare the modification. Some companies aren't bothered, others will charge a premium, a few won't touch you. You have to ask.
