  2. will this be the same as mine is a manual? ive tried to lift the gear gaitor but feels like something is holding it in place. I don't want to pull it too hard for it to break

I'm fairly confident. Its pretty easy when you have the right info to follow. The vcds pages on here are great and worked a treat on my car. I have the unlimited vins so no problems doing your car.

Im available next week Wed to Fri day or evening if thats any good?

  5. I currently have a G1W Camera and have found 1. It wont stick to the black style sticker etc on the windscreen and 2) if I place it lower down it hangs to low on the windscreen. Question is what camera do people recommand that I can use to get over these issues but also a camera which is fairly small and discreet. cheers
  6. just a bump - fuse 48 only has one point of contact from what I can see. How can this be used? others have said to piggy back of the rear wiper fuse? thoughts?
  7. i have a cigar socket extension which only has 2 wires coming from it so cant go wrong (i think) on the piggy back connector os anyone aware to which section should hold the 15amp fuse for the rear wiper and the 5amp fuse for the dash cam? have just bought these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162169039126?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331895022390?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT at least the additional USB connector allows me to charge my phone as well
  8. its more an issue with the Piggy back Fuse holder, its all wired correctly but pops fuses instantly. Normally pretty good with these types of things
  9. Just to re-ignite this thread. just fitted my additional socket and noticed there is a fuse within the plug for the dash cam - will a 5amp fuse still be sufficient still or is this not enough? I fitted a 10amp fuse in its place and it started to smell like it was burning so switched it off. any help would be appreciated
  10. yeah spotted it when the box was fitted. It would seem that tools can be bought to remove the pins and then reinstall them. The pins themself are over £3 each and they can be reused once crimped which is a pain. Auto electrician didnt seem interested to be honest
  11. Hi All it looks as though I have a loose wire within my rail pressure sensor plug. Is there a way to fix these or maybe replace them? The wire (i believe) could come out. any helps appreciated. thanks in advance
  12. typical - just purchased mine from them, should have it tomorrow. are these easy to set up? did you find fuel economy was better?
  13. Recieved mine today, hopefully fit them in the coming days. Question though as I can't see that it's been covered. did the guys that fitted them just use the original 2 mounting points to the leading edge of the wing? Do these need drilling out to fit the new ones supplied with the flaps?
  14. I only really wanted one for better fuel economy. Shame really as people claim to get 10% more
  15. Hi All as title suggests. Has anyone fitted one of these boxes? if so can you offer any feedback as im looking at getting one for my Vrs thanks
  16. thank you - under closer inspection mine doesn't seem to have it - is this possible to fit or a dealer only install?
  17. A small bump on this - i have a mk3 vrs Hatch, might be a silly question but will my car have this option? or is this exclusively for estates?
