  1. Hi folks, Not sure if everyone is aware that the Skoda online store was recently hacked. It's recommended you change your logon details ASAP. More info here --> Skoda Breach And here --> Official Release John
  2. Hi B9MAT, I specced mine to keep it under the 40K and gave up DCC however when it came in they registered it at the current list price which was >41K so hit with the extra tax. I was fuming as I could have had my DCC and a few other options. I pay £560 a year. John
  3. Hi folks, For the past 3 day's I've not been able to connect so reached out to Škoda direct who have confirmed they are working on it. 4. Hi, The TPI is 2069590/3. This does an 5F recovery and part of BAID 167231935. I hope this helps folks. John
  5. Hi, Mine was in yesterday for it's yearly service and already had the 1941 update. There was a TPI for it though to module 5F that specifically targets the infotainment system reboots. I'm at work this now so will edit my post when I get home with the TPI number. John
  6. Hi, Further to my info above, I know the car normally beeps when it's being opened via the drivers door or the key fob however the issue I am having is that as the door is almost opened it emits a continuous beep then stops when it has opened which it never did before. Earlier this morning when I manually opened it via the button on the back door it did the same, it opened without the beep beep beep but then when it was opened let out a loud continuous beep. Thanks. John
  7. Hi, Can someone please let me know what could be the issue when I open my boot on my Octavia iV VRS. I press the button to open it on the drivers door and the back door starts opening with Beep, beep, beep then I get a BEEEEEEPPPPPP The boot is empty other than my charging cable. Pressing the close button closes it OK. If I manually press the door open button on the back door it opens OK with no beeping. Any help would be great. Thanks John
  8. Hi, Just an update should anyone need it. Car was in at the stealership and they said battery was OK and that the message Engine needs to run longer message is normal and will go away after you have been driving constantly for at least one hour. It's the petrol filtering system doing a regen similar to a DPF on a diesel. Since I drive 98% on pure EV I hadn't seen that error before and driving to York from Scarborough and back obviously wasn't long enough in a single trip. Car is now working again as it should, i.e. switching to EV driving through towns and stopping the engine at traffic lights. So, if you see this message pop up with a picture of a car with an exclamation mark through it then now you you need to take your baby for a wee drive John
  9. Many many thanks to Breezy_Pete for helping me with the part number. I am so appreciative. John
  10. Hi Pete, It's a metal nut. Was looking to replace it with original VAG part if possible but I will look at your link as a backup. Thank you John
  11. Hi Guy's, Would anyone know the part number for the nuts that keep the 12v battery cover located in the boot on a 2021 MK 4 iV VRS. I took the nuts off to check the battery and lost one 🙁. They need a 10mm driver to remove them and have a built in washer. Also used to bolt down the Canton Sub in the boot. Thanks John
  12. Hi Benjybobs, It stay's on. I can drive from Scarborough to York and the engine still runs even when the temperature is at 11 degrees outside. I've driven in colder weather and it was OK before the last OTA updates a fortnight ago. Thanks.
  13. Hi folks, I am really starting to hate my 71 plate Octavia iV PHEV VRS with all the software glitches on it. I got it end of October 2021 and it has just reached 8000 miles on the clock so not a high mileage. Drive to work and back which most of the time is on EV. Since the last OTA updates a few weeks ago I get the text Engine needs to run longer when it switches into Hybrid mode and it will not switch the engine off again until I do it with the ignition. I contacted the stealership as someone on the forums mentioned about the 12v battery being defective and possibly damaged by the CAN gateway. I'm on 1896 this now and the CAN software is 7310 according to the stealership which is the latest they say. Can someone confirm if this is the case and would it be reasonable to expect Skoda to replace the battery under warranty given the low mileage and previous issues with the software from new. Thanks, John
  14. I have the Canton sound system in my Octavia MKIV VRS iV and to be honest am not impressed with it. The subwoofer in the boot is a joke and you can't hear it. The sound in my old MK 3 was far superior in my opinion. John
  15. Interesting but no use to us iV owners who have a ruddy big battery there 😞 I have the Canton Sound System in mine and to be honest, I am disappointed in it, especially the bass. John
  16. When I picked up my car all I had to do was register a MySkoda account while I was there and the dealer did it within 10 mins. John
  17. You need the dealer to configure part of it for you. I had to give them photo ID, my VIN and email address used in the app. Afterwards everything worked OK including remote lock/unlock and car positioning. Johh
  18. Does any female follow ever your commands lol 😂
  19. My car was updated to 1896 by the stealership and again today with the additional updates. Skoda Octavia iV VRS. John
  20. Just got mine back from the stealership and the report says... Confirmed customer complaint of SOS warning and click noise from speaker and Infotainment loading profile, carried out guided fault finding and found U178500 control module for emergency call module and communication software error. TPI requires software update carrying out to rectify fault, carried out software update to S/W version 0140 as per TPI faults cleared customer to monitor. We'll see what happens next and I'll update you. John
  21. Mine never did it until a few weeks ago and that's with the new 1896 software. Skoda are aware of the problem and mine is going in tomorrow for another software fix and potentially a module replacement. Will update you afterwards. John
  22. I've heard that some were fitted with the projectors but the system wasn't coded to enable them. I'm not at home right now so will dig out the info later and update you. John Mentions coding here in one of the pics. http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-IV/for-Octavia-IV-genuine-Skoda-door-panel-GHOST-lights-kit-with-´SKODA´-logo
  23. Hi, I have an iV VRS and my long term data is showing 3.2 mi/kWh. Don't think I have ever had more than 29 miles out of a full charge since I got the car on October last year. John
  24. Thanks Stephen, I've not had a chance to test it yet due to COVID 😞 Will try this weekend and let you know. Ripped the multi-surround audio from my BluRay Audio disc. The thing I don't understand is that the manual for my Skoda Octavia 4 VRS iV (Jun 2021) say's only Opus supports multichannel sound. I will try FLAC as this is what I usually use for everything else and MediaInfo shows the file is 6 chan. Thanks again. John
  25. Thanks Kenny, I will give it a go. John
