  1. Yes, but if you watch his other videos he is a bit of a numpty. For example, on the way to Inverness he stopped for lunch but didn't charge "because it wasn't his planned charge stop". Set off and stopped to charge 40 minutes later..... I've lost patience with this particular vlogger after 3 videos. 🤷‍♂️ (I'll probably watch the rest of the NC500 videos though as I love the area and the BUZZ ) CPS chargers in remote locations are a bit of a PITA but I also think its well known they need an RFID card to get started. An Electroverse card will cover a lot of his issues if he don't want to get a CPS card.
  2. Is that an entitled BMW driver I see parked in a charging bay with no cable connected to the car? 🙄
  3. Makes quite a lot of sense. Loads of shoppers travel there from miles away (bus trips from North Wales even) and it's right next to the M60. I think the fact that the open to all Tesla chargers are busy and quite expensive by Tesla standards tells us it needs more. If the grid connection is there, crack on.
  4. Useful to know. Thanks.
  5. Can I ask why that is necessary? My layman's mind thinks that if the car is tracking straight, assistance systems should be in spec?
  6. I haven't seen it posted, so I'll stickin here. The official report into the Luton Airport Car Park fire. https://www.bedsfire.gov.uk/sites/default/files/2024-10/Significant Incident Report LLA Car Park 2 fire.pdf The significant sentence is "The fire originated in a privately owned car powered by a diesel fuelled internal combustion engine with the cause of fire determined to be accidental." I've stopped following this thread, just thought this was a significant outcome.
  7. IIRC early Enyaq models had DC charging limited to 50kW. I think the ME30 update should have updated this to 130kW. Here's a link to the Skoda press release for the faster charging in December 2021. https://www.skoda.co.uk/news/details/enyaq-iv-models-to-add-upgraded-dc-fast-charging-as-standard
  8. The "Public chargepoint Regulations 2023" only apply to new chargers from the 24th November. Existing public chargepoints have another 12 months to meet the regulations. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-public-charge-point-regulations-2023-guidance/public-charge-point-regulations-2023-guidance
  9. Osprey continue to expand with a new 8x300kW hub at Basingstoke. Part of their partnership with Supermarket Income REIT, who own retail parks etc.
  10. Shout out to Sainsbury Smartcharge. From a standing start in January 2024 they are now at over 60 ultra rapid charger hubs. Thats some roll out. https://smartcharge.co.uk/locations
  11. The Tottenham chargers are at a service centre and were so busy Tesla staff and customers were struggling to get a charge. As you say, rammed with taxis. It shows ti me that it IS about price now there are choices. Tesla doing right by their customers by relieving the pressure from non-Teslas
  12. It would definitely continue to rise before tailing off. Heating such a large volume of air in the car takes a lot of power, my ID.4 often uses 5kW at the start before dropping to about 1.5kW for heat on very cold days. Pre-heating the cabin with the car plugged in (and charger live if using a schedule / Octopus IO or similar) means all that extra power is drawn from the mains, making your GOM range much higher.... Short journeys that have to re-heat the cabin are real power consumers.
  13. Tesla appear to have opened up a bunch of new sites to non-Tesla vehicles. Now there are 94 sites open to all, up from 76 last time I checked.
  14. Unfortunately those Hankooks do not yet come in sizes to fit my ID4. 255/45R20 not available....
  15. In the recent snowy weather we parked up the ID.4 and have been using the petrol Citigo. In the past we found the Citigo to be excellent in snow due to low weight, low power even on OEM tyres. We replaced the OE tyres due to aging cracks (car has done 21k in 8 years!) with Hankook 4S2 all-season tyres to make it an even better snow car. It's been exemplary in the snow. The ID.4 at over 2 tons with massive wide tyres and RWD would most likely have been a liability.
  16. Gridserve have expanded their hub at Burton-in-Kendal services to 12 350kW chargers (up from 6). M6 northbound only, no southbound services here.
  17. Found out this morning that the council hub in Wrexham in the Guildhall car park is now live. 2x80kW DC chargers 6x22kW AC chargers
  18. New Osprey hub at Wrexham opened today with 6 x 150kW CCS and 6x 50kW Chademo Kempower units. Plas Coch Retail Park, handy for the A483
