I have a 2016 Superb and iPhone 12. If I connect my phone with a cable via usb i have the option of connecting via Apple Car Play on the infotainment system. Without a cable the phone connects to smart link via Bluetooth. Either way Bluetooth needs to be activated and your phone paired. If memory serves me right, after connecting my phone my contacts were downloaded automatically. Maybe rebooting your phone may clear any glitches? Apologies if I’m stating the obvious. Hope you sort it.

I am no expert but if memory serves me right from when I connected my iPhone in my 2016 Superb, I believe you have to pair your phone to the infotainment via usb or Bluetooth. On your iPhone go to settings > General > CarPlay > Available Cars and choose your vehicle. You may have to select Mirrorlink on the infotainment…?? Good luck.

Following your guidance and instructions I have successfully updated. It was seamless and completed during a 17 mile round trip with a stopover of 2hours. Very grateful for your clear guidance 👍👍

Thank you for the clear instructions - very useful for a menopausal numpty 🙃 "extract content to SD Card" = Could someone please advise if an SDXC card is suitable for my 2016 L&K Superb Mk III with Columbus system? I previously (nervously) updated to the 2021 map using a 32GB SDHC class 10 card but my understanding is that I need a larger capacity care (64GB?) card for the current update? I am a Mac user but have access to a Windows computer. Advice in 'numpty' speak gratefully received.

Girlie question: did you use the glue between the silver trim and rubber seal? the silver door trim on my car keeps popping out. It looks like the rim has moved and the end catches on rear door trim. My trustee garage has talked of removing trim and seal and resitting it and gluing back into place - at least 2 hours labour. I’m worried about this in case rubber stretches during procedure and I end up with cost of new seals. Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks you kindly for your replies and apologies for tardiness of mine - I forgot to opt to be notified. Yes, elderly stepdad must have cracked up the rear heating control and the vent was open in the armrest.

On two separate occasions I have noticed the centre console housing the usb and aux port together with the compartment in the armrest have generated a lot of heat, to the point that it distorted the plastic frames of my driving glasses has anyone experienced this? My car is a superb Mk iii Lauren & Klement DSG TSI 1984cc Registered 01/05/2016

I had the same problem when I purchased my used car. I telephoned SKODA UK customer services with the VIN and within about a week they emailed me the complete spec of the car.
