  1. Ouch! That's not for me Just a simple stone cracking the windscreen, good perspective though. Thank you both
  2. Hi, I've had a windscreen replaced under my insurance, because the Kodiaq has lane assist, automatic lights/wiper speed and driver assistance (assume that's the warning when you get too close?) and that this work need to be carried out at a Skoda dealership. The dealership who will do the recalibration is pushing for 4 wheel alignment which would be to my cost and not covered by insurance. I've driven the car several hours and everything seems as if it's operating correctly. I'm happy with a trip to a dealer for camera calibration but touching the wheels seems excessive. Can anyone advise if this is really necessary, the car is 7 months old and this feels like a way to massage my wallet. Thoughts please?
  3. I hit the cruise over to this all the time - BY ACCIDENT :( I hit the indicator stalk mid way rather than flicking the tip and there I am, in a mode that's no use where I live. However: Thank you for the clarity, I didn't comprehend why this would be useful but you've explained it perfectly. I now long to be queuing pointlessly and accelerating hard between traffic gaps knowing I can't exceed the limit.
  4. My derv VRs delivers an amazing daily experience, my Kodiaq is seeing 33mpg, another diesel VRs would make sense to me
  5. This delivers 6.3 0-60 in a Passat, I don't think it's too shy? Of course the SQ5 derv would be nicer l!
  6. So this is 240 bhp, nice. What's the cost rumoured to be please?
  7. Thanks, looks a good spec, needs more horses I feel to fit the look
  8. If I'd known that I'd have spec'd adaptive, thank you for the reply.
  9. Cruise control should have its own stalk and shouldn't be integrated with the indicator/headlight stalk. Other VAG cars have their own stalks, back and forward turn off cruise or return to previous set speed, up/down +5/-5 mph
  10. Is a heated steering wheel an option or could we all celebrate this warmth in a standard fashion?
  11. Nice. We could have had immediate (factory) delivery if we would have accepted a white one. I'd have gone for the panny roof as an unwanted extra on the car to speed things along massively but couldn't have lived with the colour.
  12. Currently 6 weeks into a 12 week build, signed up mid August. 12 weeks feels like an age, I won't comment on a 16 week wait but you have my sympathy.
  13. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/karoq/91163/new-skoda-karoq-suv-full-uk-pricing-and-specs-revealed The range-topping motor is a 2.0-litre diesel with 228bhp and 400Nm. Sorry this is what I read ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  14. So, whilst waiting for our car to be built I see they've announced the Karoq range with a 228 horsepower diesel in the lineup. I happily go for this over the 190 in Kodiaq, anyone else?
  15. We signed up in August. Then the scrappage scheme kicked in. We were either going for the Superb or Kodiaq. On a Superb, before scrappage, with trade in of a 2k Passat we'd have seen 5k off list at price. After the scrappage scheme came in it would have given 4k off a Superb with trade in. As stated, deals change and you take a risk at the time. Kodiaq was/is exempt from scrappage currently
