Skoda Superb 2018 - missing service history - is it a buy or leave?
When I bought my 4yr old Passat from a VW Main dealer in 2021 as an Approved vehicle, I asked for details of what their Service Dept had done in preparation, as the salesman said it was more than an oil change. I was given a copy of the usual VW workshop invoice, detailing all work done. When I had the car serviced the following year at my local VW Main Agent, they gave me a full printout of the Service Record and queried that there was no entry for the previous year. 'But I have the VW Invoice for it!?', I replied. After many calls, it turned out that the 2021 service details had been entered on the VW Financials system, (I guess as part of the cost of sale details), and is visible on that system's 'Sevice History Certificate'. However, as it was not on the usual Servicing system, it was missing from the usual 'Service History' report. Getting the proper Servicing History corrected was beyond the capabilities of man or machine, apparantly... (I post this as I expect/guess many of the VAG computer systems are shared across brands...)

Headlamp Levelling & Airbag Light - MOT Fail
I noticed that I could hear a faint whirring in my old Roomster; tracked it to the n/s leveller motor running constantly. Garage simply disconnected it before it burnt/wore itself out and made sure the headlight was aligned correctly; never had any MoT problem. (Or is the internal adjustment now part of the MoT test)?

Rear door child shade/blind
Your link is for make 'Car Shades'; I have had two sets of their tailored blinds, for a Civic and my current 2017 Passat Estate, very pleased. They market direct via eBay, search for Car Shades Skoda Superb and filter on brand 'Car Shades'. They do sets for rear doors only or doors plus hatch/tailgate. (Good aftersales service; I broke a clip accidentally and they promptly sent a replacement set free of charge).

Two questions for Roomster owners, please
The parcel shelf gap cover was known as a Luggage Cover, part DMK770005. Mine, (in 2010/2011), clipped (not Velcro'd) at the back onto the parcel self, with plastic arms to the fornt which clipped onto the outermost rear headrests (i.e. in 3, not 2, seater mode). Certainly a bit Heath Robinson, but necessary to cater for (some) of the many possibliiies of rear seat back positioning!

EA888 evo4 / DNNA vs EA888 / DKZA
I hadn't heard of the Budack Cycle; after a quick search, I have found out what it is! However, I am intrigued by the original post; if I remember correctly, indirect injection was added in order to try to prevent/reduce the coking-up of the inlet valve backs (caused by the exhaust gas circulation) which the direct injection engines suffered from. How are the backs of the inlet valves kept clean now?

Superb Estate 1.4 TSI Purchase
According to the HonestJohn site, there was a Mk3 1.4 125ps S spec version on sale until Nov 2018, but they appear to be pretty rare. However, when I was looking for a Superb or Passat (cousins!) in a hurry in 2021 (when used car market had not yet recovered from Covid disruptions) I saw a Passat '1.4 ACT' for sale on AutoTrader but spotted that in the Performance details, it was showing as 123bhp (i.e. TSI, non-ACT). The salesman assured me that it was an ACT but said that the Performance figures were automatically supplied by AT from the car's registration. In that case, I pointed out, there was an obvious discrepency! A couple of weeks later, the 'ACT' was dropped from the listing heading... (I had no reason to suspect a deliberate deception from the salesman).

Boot and glove box lights.
Apologies for the late reply; I no longer have my Roomster but still check here occasionally... When I discovered my top glove box was hot, I removed the bulb. A subsequent search here (on "glove box") turned up many posts on the subject, e.g. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/214730-hot-glovebox (I didn't attempt to fix the switch; the bulb was still removed when I sold the car at 160k+ miles...)

Sold - Roomster 15in alloys
Could we meet midway? (How do I request Mods to forward you my contact email)?

Sold - Roomster 15in alloys
The Michelins are stamped 3216 or later (had to replace one after a puncture), no cracking that I could see. (The Chinese one is from 2012, not one I would use). I am not in a position to ship them; how far away from Chippenham are you?

ROOMSTER TRACKING FUN
Well done! My 2007 1.9 suffered the same seized trackrod end issue, with at least 3 separate tyre places unable to free it. Cutting a long and painful story short, my usual garage replaced the track end and rod (and boot, burned by one of the other garages...). Out of curiousity they then took a destructive angle grinder to the old seized joint and it still wouldn't free, it was absolutely solid. Twice in its 120k mile time with me it was on (different) 4wheel alignment jigs; both times I was shown that the rears were slightly out but was told that there was no means of adjustment for the rear.
