hi guys i am wanting to know where i can place the axle stand near the front, can anyone tell me or show pictures please? i have been searching on internet, finally found one on here but the pictures got deleted. had a look in my manual and didnt find anything either. many thanks guys

ok thank you i was just seeing if any of the things i have will be good enough to seal. now you have said that then i will use some copper grease on the clamp bolt, thank you.

also can i use copper grease on the exhaust joint? reason i asked is last time i used that was when i changed my drum brakes and not used it on anything else. i have a big tub full too.

oh i live in a really awkward place where my car is parked bit away from house. is it ok to hammer the old clamp off with a rubber mallet? will that be safe? even with extension for the angle grinder, i will be in everybody's way.

yep just used my calliper and its on 45.03. do i need the 45 or one that is bit bigger?

thank you for that i am on a budget so i will just use my tire jack and buy some axles instead just till i have more funds and i may just buy the halfords one.

the sleeve is cheap and so is the putty so makes sense doing it yourself and save some money, even better we get to learn more if doing it yourself. yeah i do have some goggles somewhere.

hi guys, i am wanting to get a decent jack and need your opinions please my budget isn't alot im afraid, its 50 pound. i am going to try sort the clamp out myself but my jack is the one you get with the car and i dont trust it, that jack is only for tires. many thnaks guys

my mechanic just gave me a quote of 80 pound to put the clamp on.

yeah it was a mobile mechanic, he put in the new exhaust last week and when it started blowing this morning, i didnt know what it was so i asked him to have a look at it but he wanted 30 pound to come and have a look. ok i will ring about to get some quotes. tank you again wino

i want to try fix it myself, i have a dremel that i could use to grind the bolts/sleeve off then reattached it with some exhaust paste then i should be good to go? need to make sure i get right part though. thank you, will measure it first.

yeah i would have though t the mechanic would replaced it at the same time as changing the front exhaust
