hi guys, got the front exhaust changed for new one just over a week ago. at first it sounded quiet but yesterday it sounded like it was blowing in the same area. just had a quick look on internet and most people are experiencing this too. what are your thoughts on this? many thanks guys

ok guys, the mechanic have changed the front exhaust pipe just over a week ago now. it started off quiet and yesterday its blowing at the front again. can anyone tell me what has happened? brand new pipe put on and its blowing again in same area?

disconnect the negative from the battery for couple of minutes then connected it back up and went for test drive, it was still doing the rough idling.

how about putting the neg and plus wires tgether to completely drain the power that is still left behind?

ok guys, an update: its worse than before now. the revs gets so slow that the engine stalled mid driving.

ok il give it a test tomorrow, if that seem to have worked then il rip the insulated tape off and use the gorilla tape. thank you wino started my car up few days ago in morning when it was warm in cornwall, the idle kept going up and down straight away, maybe because the engine was already warm. started it up after taping the pipe and it didnt idle rough so hopefully it was just that pipe.

oh right, i only had them electrical/ insulated tape to hand. only other tape i had was gorilla tape, would that had been better?

ok guys, just went to check the pipe and guess what? it has a spit on one end, seems very popular place for splits. havent ordered the pipe but thought i would try insulated tape first. same as the op, the idle gets rough when the engine is warm/hot. taking the car for a drive tomorrow so will find out.

i prefer the clip on ones but last clip on ones i bought didnt fit though.

mine shows up as 0000 but it goes off after awhile.

hi guys, was hoping the little modification would help with bit more power, any of you guys got any budget ones please? i have sorted the blow in the exhaust pipe but i am thinking about keeping the performance exhaust pipe, not even that loud, just a low growling noise. since i have gained bit more power, just hoping this air filter would add bit more. many thanks

just an update, exhaust have now been fixed, the pipe just before the flexi part was near enoguh hanging off the pipe i should have a took a picture but forgot. as for the noise, i am very happy with it! apart from the low growling noise, still has the modified exhaust pipe on. asked him for a quote to make it back to normal but after driving abit after the work, i am liking the power it seemed to have gained and the noise is very bearable. all in all, im happy

no not yet, been trying to sort my driver locking mechanism as the sensor has gone. will check the pipes most probably tomorrow now. many thanks for the part number.

hi dont mean to be cheeky but you got part number for that hose pipe please? that pipe has split on you and wino so in case mine has split then at least i have the part number to hand.

ok, an update: i have rang skoda, if i had to order from them it would be £128, instead of asking them to order, i asked them for the part number. am i right in thinking i just typed the part number in ebay search box and they will all fit?

yeah i did get some more but it came with double sided sticker but not happy with it. have you got a link for your please? i want some proper/original ones but if there is better/upgraded ones then il have them instead.

yes that is correct, i know its confusing as the pedal doesnt actually move towards you.
