hi guys i was just wondering if anyone has a diagram of where all my vacuum pipes/hoses are please? i want to do some test as where the leaks are. i have got some carb cleaner but the only vacuum hose i know is the pipe at the back, going to spray some carb over the pipes when the engine is running. many thanks

so i didnt need to disconnect the battery?

read somewhere that whenever you change pipes or spark plugs or anything, it is best to disconnect the battery( something to do with getting rid of the old codes or perhaps to relearn the new things added) . is this not true?

i forgot to disconnect the battery so have done that now and il go connect it in about 20 mins.

ok guys just bought some gorilla duct tape, taped the air intake pipe ( still not sure if it is called that) then started the engine and it felt and sound smooth.

thank you i was going to buy some last night but came across the brown tape so thought i would ask. i am guessing the brown tape is not sticky enough or strong enough?

hi guys found some brown sellotape for taping boxes up, will they be good enough for the split pipes in cars?

i will be going to tesco soon to get some duct tape, that should do the job till i can find a pipe cheap enough.

it seems lll parts is the best place to get it, its around 20 pound posted and on ebay the postage is killing it. i would have thought ti is cheaper buying second hand but they are all more than 20 pound posted.

thank you just had a look on ebay to try and find one same a mine. didnt write the model number down so will do that later.

i thought that too till i tried googling it, i am almost sure its an intake pipe.

pipe still not turned up yet, so i went to look around the engine bay seeing whatelse i could find, the short pipe from the engine to the air filter snapped clean off. very strange! anyway taped that back up and sealed the best i can. from what i have read, if the air filter is clogged that could change the fuel/air ratio. is this correct?

have now ordered the pipe, for some reason i thought the company was from abroad but its in London so it wont take 2 weeks to arrive. i should get it installed hopefully in few days once it arrives

i think half the time they cant be bothered putting the right diagram on so they just put any on instead.

i dont have one.

thank you, i think i will just order the one wino linked as that is the cheapest i could find, all the rest was around 60 pound delivered. i rang garage up saying that the parts should arrive within 2 weeks and he said he will help me install the pipe.

i just thought it would arrive quicker if i ordered from ebay than it would from the dealership. i just went by the model number on the ebay one. i forgot to update my profile, i live in cornwall now and the garage i used told me it would be better to order the part elsewhere as they dont get discount price and that it would have cost couple of hundred pounds. also the price for the ebay one is same as the dealership. when i goggled the exchange rate for the dealership it came to 56 pound delivered. thank you for that when i did the exchange rate on google, that came to 35 pound delivered, so saving over 20 pound compare to the dealership and ebay. i will order this one on thursday.

ok guys, another update, it is still misfiring on cyl 3. i am going to try replace the vacuum pipe now, is it ok to order from abroad on ebay? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254731639828 also i cant order it till thursday as that is when i get paid, i still have to wait 2 more weeks if i ordered from abroad. its the only place i can order from, cant find any in the uk. is it ok to drive it for another 2 weeks if i drive slowly/steadily?
