The My Skoda Essentials app was playing up and lost the ability to lock / unlock for a few days . When I opened it today all was well and full functionality returned !

I had the reported booting / rebooting problems Whist in France a month or so ago . Tried all the usual fixes including disconnecting the battery , all to no avail . Got so fed up I arranged an appointment with nearest Skoda dealer in Provence . On the day of the appointment the car infotainment worked perfectly without any problems . Dealer took the car into the workshop for 20 mins and it was returned to me with no fault codes showing and continued to work perfectly . Back in the UK supplying dealer checked it over and could find no faults . I was told there is a more up to date software package but it was decided to leave it on the current system as all was working properly . I attach pic of current configuration .

Should I have two reversing lights or one ....I have one only on the passenger side .

We are on an overnight ferry so don't like the idea of alarm going for eight hours .

We are going on our first ferry crossing in our new Octavia IV and I'm confused as how to lock the car whilst switching the alarm off . Any suggestions / advice would be appreciated Many Thanks

Have just had an email from my dealer confirming delivery of my new Octavia Estate to his premises . This car was ordered on 28 Aug 21. I will not be able to take delivery until Sept as I am abroad for the next 3 months .

Have just heard from dealer that my new Octavia Estate 1.5TSI SEL is due to be built in Week 8 (last week of Feb ) and should be available by the end of March. It is standard spec apart from metallic grey , tow bar and spare wheel. It was ordered on 28 August .

I placed an order for Octavia Estate 1.5 SEL Manual with no extras on 26.8 .21 I asked dealer for update this morning . Factory has accepted order but no build date allocated . Am not in any rush so happy to wait .
