Error code P2015 "sensor for intake manifold flap position" fixed with aluminium bracket.
Afternoon, I ended up having a new manifold on mine but I managed to find it online from a dealer (can't remember which one now) but I paid around Β£450 give or take and then plus labour total bill around Β£700, think I may still have the plastic bracket in the shed somewhere as I bought that hoping it would be an easy fix!

Hi mate. Thank you for the reply, yeah it should sound ok and apparently give around 3 bhp gain, I just didn't wanna put it on and then find out I gotta get it mapped again! Plus I gotta get round me other half she ain't having it at the mo!!

Hornet exhaust.
I know it's probably a silly question but on other websites/ forums some say it's best to get the car remapped after having an performance exhaust fitted, I didn't think it was necessary but...

Aircon
Thank you for the replies guys, it's going to be Dynoed again tom by my regular mechanic so I will see what he says for definite and go from there, and get the few other codes done aswell

- Aircon
Ok, does that mean a new compressor or can you just replace the valve?- Aircon
Ahh yeah I didnβt think of that bud il check that Lata, just been out and itβs working fine. Odd!- Aircon
The guy that did the regas said the sensor had an intermittent fault so the Aircon temp he said was cold and then just blowing cool but so far it seems ok, he didn't give me a fault code unfortunately which obviously would of been easier.- Aircon
Thank you for the reply mateπ, ahh ok I wasnt to sure exactly what the sensor does! I'm going out in the car shortly so il see if it still working ok like yourself if it's working fine il leave it- Aircon
Afternoon guys/girls. I had my Aircon regassed earlier as it had run out, the guy told me that it was cold but then started to blow cool/warm air then cold n so forth. He plugged his Dyno machine in and it told him that the air quality sensor was faulty (among other fault codes not related to the Aircon), I have just been out in my car for around 30 mins with the Aircon on and it was ice cold the entire time even turned it off for few mins and back on and it was fine. Should I change the sensor as it's intermittently faulty or leave it as the Aircon is blowing nice cold air? Car is a MK2 vrs TDI estate. Any advice will be appreciated.- Engine flush
Yeah that's my annual millage so fairly low, at every oil change when it's been drained it's black, definitely no track days as much as I've been tempted! Il b taking the engine flush back to Halfords most definitely π- Engine flush
Thanks for your replies guysπ. Think I'm gonna go with your advice. At the time I bought it I just looked at the reviews on the product rather than whether you just use it on a particular car or at all, so basically because I have an oil change every 4_5k that should b sufficient enough to keep the engine ticking over nicely anyway. I should of asked on here first huh!- Engine flush
Evening guys. My octy is having his oil/ filter changed this Wednesday. This time I decided to buy some Wynn's engine flush (my cars done 146000 miles now oil/filter change every 4-5k ) I normally use mobil oil for this. The mechanic I use says he doesn't recommend using engine flushes to any of his customers as can do more harm than good. So my ? Is do any of you guys on here use it at all? My octy is the vrs TDI by way.- Wheel spacers.
Morning guys! Sorry for the late reply! So if I fit 15mm and 20mm it should be fine as long as the hubcentric? I don't want to upset any of the settings of the car so to speak?- Wheel spacers.
Afternoon guys! Im thinking of getting some spacers for my octy MK2 vrs estate ( standard wheels) what is the maximum size you should fit and any particular brand? Thanks guys π- Water in diesel!
Yeah it always is mate I always turn it till it clicks. Maybe your right just a coincidence, il see how he runs and take it from there I think. Thank you for your advice mate much appreciated π- Water in diesel!
Ok will do the filter was only changed around 10000 miles ago as well. As it seems fine now would you say maybe it's done it's thing? The amount of water was so minimal as well! Fingers π€- Water in diesel!
Thank you for your reply. So would a fuel filter change b a good idea I guess?!- Water in diesel!
Hi folks. Need some advice if poss! I cleaned my car the other day and decided to open up the fuel flap and just quickly hose around in there, was literally for 2 seconds, so the car after started fine drove it 50 yards to park it back up, that was Thursday. So this morning I went out started the car and after approximately 5 seconds it started to judder this lasted around 15 seconds and it has seemed to clear itself after driving about 12 miles. I have just over half tank of v power diesel would it be worth filling the tank right up just so it flushes it through? Car is a 60 plate vrs. Would be grateful for some advice thank youπ- Vrs front grill badge.
Yeah thatβs the one. Done them now, the rear took bit longer the glue holding it seemed tougher than the front. But I must say the newer style badges do look the dogs b******s!!- Drivers front door handle
I've had a flipping mare with mine mate! Mechanic came out yesterday n had a look at the handle and said it's just wear so put it back on the car put as he put the lock back on it pushed the holder backwards down into the the door itself π‘ so he took the door card off which was fine but as he took the one off held on with Revits it snapped the cable for the window regulator π‘ so now a bill which was nothing at first is now at Β£150 he's coming back later to fit the new regulator so hopefully it all goes well wish me luck! π- Drivers front door handle
Hopefully it will just need a tighten rather than a new bracket etc!- Drivers front door handle
Not sure if pics will help Tbh! You can move the handle itself up and down a tad passenger front is not as bad but not million miles behind the rears are ok. Got mechanic coming out Tues who said could poss be the bracket that holds the handle on has broke. - Aircon
