  1. Still enjoying my meteor grey 245. No filter on this - just the evening sun reflecting off it.
  2. I imagine the quoted 7-9 working days from arrival (on 17th) to dealership (so arriving somewhere between Monday and Wednesday, next week) still applies. Mine was in the same shipment, and is still sat at Grimsby waiting on a transporter, too. Like you I had kind of hoped I might have it this weekend, but looks sure to be next week now. I'm sure the wait will be worth it!
  3. Must be on the same ship as mine. CS told me earlier that the ship should arrive late today, and that it will be roughly a week until the dealer can hand over the keys. Dealer also rang me and said to expect to pick up at end of next week. Enjoy!
  4. 27 weeks, hah! That's nothing! I'm approaching 34
  5. I had confirmation that mine is finally built and is now waiting at the port for shipping to the UK. They're estimating I should have the car by the end of the month, which will be a grand total of ~236 days (nearly 34 weeks) after paying the deposit.
  6. Finally, I've been given a confirmed build week! I'm told my 245 will be built week commencing 30th May, which means I should get the car approximately 252 days (36 weeks) after I paid my deposit.
  7. Having been given a new Yeti on loan by the dealership, pending delivery of my VRS (bw18-ish), then having that loan car swapped for a new Karoq, I was today given a third new car! Another Karoq. Getting sick of new cars now (just kidding, of course).
  8. Don't panic, these days you can get a replacement online. www.match.com
  9. I was told to write to this address: Rod McLeod Skoda Brand Director Volkswagen Group Office Yeomans Drive Blakelands Milton Keynes MK14 5AN It's his CS team that you want working on it. In the end, I didn't need to write, as the dealership manager got it escalated for me. Good luck.
  10. If it helps, I was in a Toyota that I was planning to part-ex. I ordered early October, and when I didn't have a confirmed build week at end of December, I raised a complaint with Skoda CS (who immediately offered £500) and separately with the dealer, who offered to lend me a car from the end of January until my car arrives. I had a brand new Yeti, for 6 weeks until the engine light came on - they immediately swapped for a brand new Karoq, which I'm keeping until delivery of my own car. As I've said before, the overall Skoda experience hasn't been great, but the dealership has been fantastic - I'll have had three new cars in the first six months of 2018! Also, as I've said before, the standard CS team seemd pretty limited in what they can do. The dealership advised I get my case escalated to the UK MD's CS team who have a bit more clout. I did this, and have to say they are a lot more proactive, and give a much better picture of what's actually going on. I'm currently expecting my car to be built in Bw18, but to be honest they can take their time so long as I'm in a free car, taxed and insured by them.
  11. Just to share my experience, in case it helps you at all - I ordered early October and was told I'd receive the car (vrs245, standard spec) early Feb. When I still had no build week at the end of December, the dealer (not Skoda CS) offered to loan me a car until mine showed up. Separately Skoda CS offered me a £500 credit which can (only) be used at a Skoda dealership - so for servicing, or items from the accessories catalogue, which include dashcams, coffee makers and model-specific bits and pieces. I picked up a brand new, well-spec'd Yeti from the dealer on 31st January. My build week is currently showing as 18 (after moving to bw25 momentarily!) so I'm probably going to be in this loan car until June, all told. There is absolutely no logic to the delay in my order according to the dealership sales manager, and also the UK MD's customer service team (who are separate to the standard CS team, and who are now managing my case). The dealer is claiming the cost of the loan car back from Skoda UK as I understand it. Although the overall customer experience has been a total shambles - my first (and if I'm honest, probably my last) experience of the Skoda brand - I have to say the dealership has been excellent. One tip, in case you haven't already done so, is to insist your case is escalated to the UK MD's CS team - they seem a lot more capable, and don't just throw platitudes at you. Hope this helps.
  12. Do it! From what they told me it's a fairly standard offer, so you won't need to push hard for it. And the loan car was sorted with the dealer - got me over the disappointment of waiting to offload my old banger!
  13. Been a while since my last update, but to bring you all up to speed, I ordered my vrs245 (standard spec, pch, meteor grey) at the start of October and right up until this morning I didn't even have a build week. I know... totally mad, and no good reason given by Skoda CS. However, as well as a £500 voucher from Skoda CS, by way of apology, the dealer has taken my part ex today and given me a brand new car on loan until my order arrives. OK, its not a Vrs (it's a 67 plate Yeti with 20 miles on it - see below) but it's still a nice new motor! Also... perhaps due to the added pressure of me now riding around in their motor, I was informed today that I finally have a confirmed build week 18 (so mid April). So in all, I'll be in the new Yeti for over three months! To be honest, I reckon between the voucher, the loan car and the fact my vrs will end up being on an '18 plate, I can put up with the delay. Always look for the bright side, I say!
  14. It's a PCH (couldn't pass up such a good deal). The dealership is in Newport.
  15. A case of glass half empty or glass half full! I'm in the same situation... no build week nine weeks after ordering early in October. I've just taken a long, deep breath... and agreed with the dealership to take a newish loan car (for free) from mid-january until my car is delivered (gets me a new set of wheels early in the new year), plus I'm told I will get £500 compensation by Skoda CS, if no firm BW this side of Christmas.
  16. In case this helps anyone else who ordered a Vrs245 from early October, and is wondering about lead times... Had a call from the sales manager from my local dealer this morning - to be fair, he's doing the best he can under the circumstances. He had escalated my enquiry ("why no build week after 6 weeks?") to the area sales manager last week, who in turn has established that I'm on a 25 week lead time from date of order (not date of order acceptance by the factory). So that would put me at around 1st April. They've stopped taking orders from dealers (for stock/demonstrators) for now, and have yet to see how this affects customer orders. Said they hope it will pull things forward a bit (suggested by up to 5 weeks, at best) but no guarantees whatsoever. So, I either settle in for the long wait, or pull the order and look at other makes/models. Hmmmm
  17. *sigh* They really are completely disorganised. Having been repeatedly told on live-chat (and by the dealer) since mid-October that my order had definitely been accepted by the factory (I put a deposit down on the 8th), during this afternoon's 'build week chase-up' I've had customer services tell me their system is now showing the order only having been accepted last week. No wonder a build week has taken longer than 6 weeks to appear. Arse and elbow spring to mind. Figure I'll give them another week and then start shopping around again.
  18. My local dealer said this afternoon that it's just 'stock' orders from dealers (not customer orders) that are being paused (and then only for a while), as lead times are getting a bit long. Doesn't really sound like a big issue after all.
  19. And this (I ordered around 10th Oct. but have not been allocated a build week yet):
