  1. Never tried it. Normal for day to day flicking to manual for some lights and over taking. Sport when I feel like a blast
  2. All I can say is hang on if you can. I got my local dealership to match Simpson's which was the best lease deal at time and luckily they got hold of car (8 miles, canton and spare). I've had over 20 cars in 20 years and it's by far best all round pound for pound fun family car I've had. I know there's faster and better handling etc.
  3. -7 this morning after nights. Car frozen at work start it up, heater/seat on. Decide to scrape frozen screen. Fuel filler cap frozen shut! Seems a neat place to put ice scraper but maybe not too clever!!!
  4. I commuted last night and home this morning in 245 dsg into northwales. It was fine just took it easy. Left car in d in normal drive and left it to itself.
  5. I'll look forward to it. Love the car. Just wish it was slightly more vocal.
  6. Wish my 245 farted! Only 800 miles in though. Guess there's time!
  7. 245 isnt loud at all, you can hear it under hard acceleration, quite deep noise, starting and idle slight noise, driving sedately quiet, so no its not noisy at all.
  8. I'm might be bit stupid I haven't used hba or even know if I have it. The light pattern changes with speed automatically. Sorry to be vauge.
  9. looked on mine this morning (vrs 245, got it late october) it has lane assist and the LED lights that change beam depending on speed, but as far as i can is it hasnt got TSR (traffic sign recognition), speed limit is in corner of admundsen when i have the nav screen on but nothing on colour maxi dot display.
  10. I also have a 245, think it's fantastic car, but I would not wait till half way through next year or longer for one.
  11. The base car is just under £5k more. I'm not doubting the 4wd 310bhp golf is awesome. But it's not a competitor to 245 regardless of monthly cost of deal.
  12. Different class of car. And more expensive. Rs3 / a45 would be better than golf r but again different class of car.
  13. noticed this morning backing out of drive and last few days a grinding noise when braking reversing, fine going forward, car has done 700 miles. anyone else notice this?
  14. 3 weeks in and not 1 rattle in octavia. Just saying.
  15. youll love it, ive just cleared 600 miles and its awesome. obviously not as awesome a golf R but its on the right PCH deal its a lot cheaper. I wasnt looking at changing previous car till i seen the deals a month or so ago and decided screw it. not regretted one bit. even making a nicer noise now with few miles covered.
  16. 270 down, 270 pm, 245 hatch DSG, Canton and a spare wheel, 8k pa. that suited me.
  17. Oh right sorry. I bought 4 new Vauxhalls on 0% over 7 years. Negative equity every time. Got fed up of it. Cleared negative equity and got my vrs on lease. If your like me and change car every 2 years the lease deal suited me.
  18. I thought on pcp you had a guaranteed future value gfv which avoids the neg equity trap? Might be wrong.
  19. I am biased. But in any colour I like the fl vrs 230/245. I like the understated but aggressive look.
  20. I've got canton in my vrs. Decent sound. Good bass. But nothing to get too excited about. Good volume levels undistorted. I only got it cause it was in only 245 dsg available with no wait. Probably is worth the £500 if you like your music
  21. It was seat Warrington. I looked myself but was after April lead time and I was impatient so got the 245
  22. I'm yet to hear it. Haven't really give it too much stick yet. Not to bothered either way but probably will like the novelty if it does
  23. I've done 400 and noticed it louder but thought I was imagining it. Still haven't heard the dsg noise when changing gear. Off tomorrow so might go out for a play. Also I'm am very biased (having the same car) but I really like the front on the 245 (and the rear)
  24. Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax 473ml it's £23.99 in halfords.
