  1. Looking at a new Karoq Sportline DSG as my next car, sorry if this has been done before and if it has can someone point me to the posts/threads? Not sure of any major pros/cons other than the 2.0 is significantly faster, but obviously thirstier. In terms of standard kit , from what I can see, they are identical? Would I be happy with the 1.5?? or would I be craving more ooomph having had a Superb 2.0TSI 190.
  2. What's wrong with Google maps? You never have to worry about uploading/being out of date.
  3. Had a run in with a pot hole, got a new wheel and already have a space saver spare so selling this one. I'm told this is a straightforward repair, I just never got round to it. Quoted locally £80 for a Diamond cut alloy. This would even do as a full sized spare. The outside face is immaculate, just needs a clean. Collection only. FREE
  4. That's quite low mileage so it should be in tip top condition. The 190 is a lovely engine, perfect blend of performance and economy.
  5. I've had exactly the same on my Superb. I'm loving 'new feature 2'
  6. You'll be surprised at how well it goes, but can be extremely economical. I think it's the perfect balance across the engine range. I'm still amazed at the ~50 MPG on a long run.
  7. Mid to high 40s I would say, if not more.

I'm just considering a Karoq 2.0 Sportline as the next car, but really like ACC and don't want to pay extra for it!!

From AutoExpress for MY23 So, it's not standard like on the Superb - just an option? In that case has anything changed between MY22 and My23?

Did I read this right that the Sportline has ACC as standard, or is it an option??
  11. Those plastic aero things look awful, I see the new Karoq also has them.
  12. I have the 190 tsi and get this on a long run.
  13. Once an update has started it will continue when the ignition is switched off.
  14. You need a long run to see a proper MPG value... Does this mean I get 818 miles out of a tank?
  15. Not sure it can be repaired?. It's not a dent, it's deformed the rim on the inside so there's a big flat section where it bottomed out.
  16. Got wiped out by a pothole, big flat dent in the alloy on the inside edge and a burst tyre Now need to find the cheapest place to get a replacement VEGA 19" wheel. Looks like £299 so far.
  17. I assumed 38K is the total mileage over 7 years. Your car should be immaculate and running like a dream 😀
  18. 5000 miles per year?
  19. Maps isn't the only difference between the two platforms. Why don't you help the original poster with some useful information to help them choose/decide?
  20. "Probably" isn't a confirmation of fact, that's why I said it. Live traffic updates and routing are essential to a good navigation app, and Google are really good as this. There's plenty of app comparisons on the internet, people can make their own mind up. I still never said that Google Maps doesn't work with Carplay!?!?
  21. Still wrong I'm afraid, you need to learn to read. "probably better at navigation" does not mean that Apple maps does not work with Carplay, it's really not difficult to grasp.
  22. I didn't say that Google Maps didn't work.
  23. I've tried both and they both work fine. Some 'issues' to be aware of: I find the google voice activation on Android to be much better than SIRI. I still feel that SIRI is too 'Americanised'. I use Amazon Prime music a lot and it doesn't work via SIRI and I found that really annoying, why can't Apple integrate one of the most popular services!. It works perfectly on Android via voice commands. Android phone does get warm but I keep my phone on a wireless charger in the armrest box - which just happens to be chilled so keeps everything cool! Android/Google Maps is probably still better at navigation due to the sheer amount of feedback Google must get for traffic information - just my opinion though. I imagine Apple, especially the iPhone 13, will be much better on battery life if you are going to use it completely wirelessly. I'm using a Pixel 5 and if it's not on the charger it will die after about 3.4 to 4 hours on a long journey when using nav/music. So, I'm in the Android Auto camp at the moment.
  24. Almost 50MPG on a long run and 792 miles from the tank,
