  1. I've just done exactly the same thing with a Mini 2 and the same cable. Works a treat, thanks for the heads up! I'm still not sure if the cam connects via Bluetooth for the live view and if it clashes at all with wireless Android Auto and my Galaxy smar****ch - will see how it goes.
  2. Unhelpful? Google/Waze is always up to date. Don't you have to manually update the built in nav maps if you want camera locations or other POI's? You can't do that when you are out and about. Unless I've totally missed the point (very likely) 😁
  3. Just use Google Maps/Waze. Makes life so much easier?
  4. Got 1969 and give it a good soak test on a 3 hour drive home after collecting the car. It's nice and slick and never missed a beat with Android Auto connected wirelessly. Early days I know, but looks promising.
  5. I did ask to have the firmware updated to the latest version, but apparently they do this anyway on all used cars. I'm buying from Wings in Peterborough and they seem to get excellent reviews. (Fingers crossed) EDIT: Shouldn't be on 1969 now?
  6. Hi All, I'm just about to buy a 21 reg Octy SEL and had a couple of questions for owners, sorry if this info is buried in another thread somewhere? What's the eTSI engine like on a day to day basis?? Quiet, smooth, enough ooomph? Anything to be aware of? Also, does Android Auto work wirelessly? I'm getting the impression than only CarPlay is wireless?
  7. Because once you've had good LED lights on a dark twisty country road I could never go back to halogens. It's like electronics handbrakes, I could never go back to a manual one.
  8. Shame really. I've just had a test drive of a used SE Tech and it was rather nice, but didn't cotton on to the fact there's no LED headlights. I would have bought it otherwise. Other than that it drove great.
  9. If only the SE Tech had LED lights. Not very 'tech' really 😄
  10. Sorry, it's been collected. I don't seemt to be able to delete the advert.
  11. Didn't realise it's been on here since Feb! Anyway, just a note to say it's free if anyone can make use of it.
  12. Auto lights kick in when it starts to get dark. It's a great feature!
  13. I imagine the 1.5 in the Kodiaq is a totally different 'beast' to the Karoq in terms of economy and performance,
  14. No chance of me getting a diesel. Petrol or petrol. Or the Tucson Hybrid 230
  15. Ah yes, a slight oversight!!
  16. Looking at a new Karoq Sportline DSG as my next car, sorry if this has been done before and if it has can someone point me to the posts/threads? Not sure of any major pros/cons other than the 2.0 is significantly faster, but obviously thirstier. In terms of standard kit , from what I can see, they are identical? Would I be happy with the 1.5?? or would I be craving more ooomph having had a Superb 2.0TSI 190.
  17. What's wrong with Google maps? You never have to worry about uploading/being out of date.
  18. Had a run in with a pot hole, got a new wheel and already have a space saver spare so selling this one. I'm told this is a straightforward repair, I just never got round to it. Quoted locally £80 for a Diamond cut alloy. This would even do as a full sized spare. The outside face is immaculate, just needs a clean. Collection only. FREE
  19. That's quite low mileage so it should be in tip top condition. The 190 is a lovely engine, perfect blend of performance and economy.
  20. I've had exactly the same on my Superb. I'm loving 'new feature 2'
  21. You'll be surprised at how well it goes, but can be extremely economical. I think it's the perfect balance across the engine range. I'm still amazed at the ~50 MPG on a long run.
