  1. How does the car know there's been an accident?? What if someone needs to get in to give you medical attention etc.. and the doors are locked??
  2. My local dealer called me back yesterday claiming there are NO updates available!! I'm on 1668 still and pursuing it with Skoda UK.
  3. So, what happens in an accident and the emergency services can't open the door(s)?? Or am I missing something?
  4. I got the same message and another one saying we aim to respond within 48 hours. Will see what happens.
  5. Is anyone going to email 'Kate'?? I am, would be good to see if I or anyone else gets a reply and a solution for getting theirs cars booked in and sorted once and for all!
  6. Black, but it's supposed to be white 😀
  7. Sounds like the control unit needs to be replaced to allow 1810 to be installed?? I'm hoping I get both!!
  8. I'm assuming a glitch!!! Still no idea how it worked those numbers out though. The real value is in the new picture....
  9. Isn't is ~6.8 seconds in stock form?
  10. I couldn't get away with a 2-spoke steering wheel!
  11. I haven't trawled through all of the posts but I'd like to see if anyone is aware of the updates shown in the attached picture, it was on Facebook last week. Sorry if this has already been posted!!!
  12. Gone with the felt pad option, it looks crap but it works. Shame it doesn't fix the infotainment system 😀 £1 for a pack of 24 from Amazon.
  13. Basically, it's crap! It works sometimes and not others, with no obvious reason as to why. After 10 months mine has never been stable/reliable, and then it will expire after 12 months and there's no way I would pay for it!
  14. Hi, did you buy your car from Derek Slack? I've got a vRS and live in Middlesbrough, but didn't buy it from Slacks. My software needs some serious attention!!! Not sure what Slacks are like if you haven't bought the car from them.
  15. Similar story here, a colleague at work just got £1000 more for his BMW than he paid for it ~2 years ago, that's for a trade in.
  16. Looks like the cheapest vRS TSI DSG I can find on Autotrader is £30,995 for a new one. That's £4,500 more than I paid for mine - wonder if I could sell it for a profit 😀 Some are going for £35K+
  17. The only way you can get one quickly (next day) is to order one from stock, and there seems to be plenty of them. I don't imagine they will be giving much discount on them either with the current situation. So glad I got mine when I did in January.
  18. It looks like there's a map in progress/under development as we speak. I've just had my ECU plugged in so that they can check the type/version and it matches basically all of the current gen VW/Audi ECUs.
  19. I'd stick to Google maps. It just works.
  20. The MK4 can't be tuned (remapped), well not yet anyway.
  21. They normally seem to develop them for the Golf first, they did the MK7.5 1.5EVO so maybe it's on the cards. I just emailed them yesterday to confirm availability for mine, they respond pretty quick to enquiries.
  22. Now available from first week in October. Tempted now as there is a dealer around the corner from me 🤔
