  1. Can you be a bit more specific, please, SimonAudi. I can't see a mode button but there is a menu button, and pressing that doesn't bring up a power setting. (I have Climatronic on my Karoq)
  2. 2.0 TSI DSG now available in UK in Sportline trim (4X4 only). See configurator and price/spec sheet. Sportline provides some extra goodies but others (eg Varioflex seats) are not.
  3. That info was also in Dec 2018 pricing and specification list SurreyJohn
  4. New Feb 2019 pricing and specification list now on Skoda UK web site https://az749841.vo.msecnd.net/sitesengb/alv1/0bf251cd-9d6e-4ddb-a446-d7a1e951578f/SKODA_KAROQ_Pricing_and_Spec_FEB19.d454cdab9712996c6c20c57cc08f4351.pdf 2.0 TSI DSG Sportline added and SE Nav Plus deleted. No 2.0 TDI DSG versions added. Otherwise, at a quick glance, can't see any price or spec changes.
  5. I don't think diesel 4X4 DSGs have yet gained WLTP approval. Watch https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/default.aspx for any changes.
  6. Can't yet see the 2.0TSI Kodiaq on https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/ so do you have an alternative (public) source of info Silver?
  7. WLTP approvals appear on this site: https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/ which seems to be updated pretty regularly, but I don't know how often. I don't know of any other site which carries this information.
  8. Good spec mullcott. Interesting that they only told you the build week one week ahead (ie build week 5 is next week), and it took 7 weeks to get that info. I thought that the build week was normally provided about 4 weeks from order date. Perhaps Christmas delayed things.
  9. What engine/spec mullcott? Any add-ons beyond standard spec?
  10. Only £1450 PCP contribution for petrol engined models, see https://www.skoda.co.uk/car-finance/new-karoq-deals, but still a good saving. Plus anything further you can negotiate with the dealer.
  11. Not a Simply Clever Skoda then
  12. Hadn't spotted that. I wonder if I could take, say, 64 test drives and get a car for peanuts. Dealer may be suspicious and I bet Skoda UK have sorted out the T&Cs to disallow that. Damn.
  13. Another new price list and specifications now on Skoda UK web site https://az749841.vo.msecnd.net/sitesengb/alv1/0bf251cd-9d6e-4ddb-a446-d7a1e951578f/SKODA_KAROQ_Pricing_and_Spec_DEC18.7257c1fa63b2447bc6f86165cbce9f25.pdf Yet another price rise against each basic spec (preparing for Brexit??) and 1.5 TSI 4X4 DSG now listed. Not cheap!
  14. 1.5 TSI 4X4 option now available on UK configurator. From SE spec upwards, including edition. Only available with DSG gearbox, though. As expected a bit thirsty compared to 4X2.
  15. I was aware that microsuede was not real suede. It is a material which is considered to be of higher quality/performance than traditional fabric materials. Skoda had previously used Alcantara in the Karoq but I believe they had supply problems, and so presumably have switched to a generic product rather than a brand name product. I have no problem with that. The Karoq Scout does not incorporate microsuede so it should not be mentioned by Skoda in the model's specification. By doing so Skoda are misdecribing their product and misleading customers..
  16. For the record I have received a reply from Skoda UK regarding the material of the Scout seats. They are fabric, not microsuede. Yet the Skoda UK web page https://www.skoda.co.uk/new-cars/karoq/karoq-scout clearly states "Microsuede upholstery". A misdescription like this in nothing new with Skoda UK but such errors reflect badly on the company and would not occur if more attention was paid to their advertising material when in draft form.
  17. Does anyone have a UK spec Karoq Scout? If so could you please let me know: 1. The black couloured centre sections of the seats, is it just cloth, or microsuede (Alcantara look-alike)?; 2. Do the doors have a wood-effect trim insert running back from the handles, or is the insert a dark brushed or similar effect?; 3. Do you notice if the rear wheel drive and suspension set up generate more cabin noise than the standard car?. Regarding the first two, I have asked Skoda UK who have found it necessary to refer my questions to the factory for an answer The official Skoda photos, and text, in the press release don't mention what material the seats come in, although the detailed spec on the UK web site says microsuede inserts. Strangely, I don't trust Skoda UK's descriptions as always being 100% accurate! Wood effect on the doors is shown on the official photos, but the you tube walk-around videos from the Paris show appear to show dark brushed effect (but that may be standard European spec).
  18. ADAC website now shows 1.5 TSI 4X4 Scout as having Euro 6d Temp approval (and 2.0 TDI 4X4 110kW Scout) but not Edition with either engine/drive - although for other Skoda models in general they don't quote different model grades as having separate approval, save for VRS/Scout/Combi variations. Similarly ADAC don't separately list DSG variants, perhaps because DSG boxes are said to be just as fuel efficient as manual (or sometimes even better).
  19. As Edition trim has a sunroof as standard, I understand this feature is/will only be available with 4X4, which in itself, I believe will also come (imminently) with the 1.5 TSI. Otherwise I don't know but I doubt if you'll get a 1.0 4X4.
  20. I don't think there'll be one. Editions have a sunroof as standard and I understand the sunroof will only be available with a 4X4. Something to do with WLTP approvals since the sunroof adds quite a bit of weight (and hence makes the fuel consumption/emissions worse). Don't understand how that equates to the also heavier 4X4 running gear -try asking your local Skoda dealer!
  21. I have been advised today by UK dealer that UK prices for the 4X4 1.5 TSI Karoq models (Sportline, Scout, Edition, SEL) are to be published imminently and order books to open Wk2 2019. That seems strange when the ADAC web site does not list any of those engine/gearbox/trim combinations as having been WLTP approved, so it's still a case of waiting and see (but perhaps only a short time now).
  22. Apologies for the long post…. I am weighing up my options on whether to go for the Columbus or Amundsen infotainment unit with the virtual (digital) cockpit and was wondering if anyone has driven the Columbus & virtual cockpit combination? Firstly, I have (briefly) driven an Amundsen & virtual cockpit combination and I very much favour the virtual cockpit over traditional dials. With the Amundsen you are unable to have the full sat nav map on both the cockpit and infotainment screens. If you have the map on the cockpit you still have some basic navigation instructions on the infotainment screen (ie street name of current vehicle position, arrow and distance for next directional change). If the map is on the infotainment screen the cockpit only displays the direction to be travelled (ie straight ahead or L or R arrows, but without distance or other information). Speed, engine revs etc, do remain depending upon the cockpit setting. With the Columbus it appears you can have the full sat nav information on both the infotainment and virtual cockpit screens at the same time. That seems more ideal to me. On my current vehicle I use a stand-alone Garmin sat nav and because it is centrally fixed on the screen both I and my passenger (normally my wife) can follow the route guidance and, especially in strange towns which have multiple complex junctions, she can assist me by studying the screen and help guide me to the correct turning where the direction to follow is not immediately obvious. Unfortunately the map screen on the virtual cockpit is not visible enough for her to do that, and if the map is on the infotainment screen then I’d have to divert my eyes too much from the road to easily follow the correct route. I know there are route guidance announcements but sometimes when “reading” a strange road there’s just too much information to be rapidly gleaned to easily ascertain which road truly is the 5th exit off the roundabout (or whatever is announced). It is very unlikely I will be able to test drive a Columbus/virtual cockpit combination as there will probably not be such an animal available in my local dealer and for various practical reasons I’m unable to visit the next local dealer(s). It seems to me the Columbus and virtual cockpit is the best solution, but the Columbus is one heck of a lot of extra money so I’d be grateful for any relevant comments by anyone who owns/has driven the Columbus & virtual cockpit combination. Thanks

    SportLine

UK dealer I spoke to today said prices and confirmed spec for petrol 4X4 (1.5 TSI manual and DSG) expected to be published week 3 of next year. He wasn't sure about when order books would open. I didn't ask him about the 2 litre TSI (or diesel) sportlines as I am not interested in those (too much power for me!).
  24. When you turn off the ignition (but with the doors still closed) do all the interior lights come on or just the ones at the front, adjacent to the switches shown? Incidentally, today I drove a KESSY Karoq with version 3 switches. The interior lights didn't come on when the ignition was switched off, but only when a door was opened (or switched on specifically at the switch). There were the two very small lights near the main front lights (mentioned by Silver1011 in the Kodiaq thread) but I didn't have time to study how these behaved, nor did I have time to work through the infotainment settings to see if the interior lights could be set to come on when the ignition is turned off.
