  1. I can't remember to be honest but they were no trouble to fit so I suspect they were direct fit.
  2. I fitted some this time last year from Wiperblades.co.uk 1 x Aerotwin Plus Flat Windscreen Wiper Blade AP24U Skoda Fabia Estate 2015 Onwards 1 x Aerotwin Plus Flat Windscreen Wiper Blade AP16U Skoda Fabia Estate 2015 Onwards 1 x Specific Fit Flat Rear Wiper Blade A403H Skoda Fabia Estate 2015 Onwards
  3. On my 2018 1.0 TSI Fabia, essentially the same control panel, this is how it works. If you turn the temperature knob fully anticlockwise to the max cold position then the recirculation will come on. It says this in the manual. In this position the recirc will always come on when the aircon is turned on even if you have turned it off during a previous drive. If you don't want this to happen then you need to leave the temperature control knob about 5 to 10 degrees away from the max cold stop. It doesn't affect the temperature. Try it and see.
  4. If it's any help? I've got a 2018 Fabia Estate in Quartz Grey Metallic bought new. In the spec sheet for the car, looked up on Erwin by VIN number, it is shown as Colour code : F6, Lacquer Number : LF7Y, Quartz Grey Metallic. Whereas, when I looked up the same spec sheet by Vin number on https://carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/skoda/vin_check? it gave the information as:- Colour of body F6 (GREY: metal grey)
  5. Not sure if this will appear correctly or not but here goes. These are the instructions from the Skoda Manual. It appears that you just remove the screw, 3, and judiciously pull it out
  6. Thanks Expatman, that's exactly the information I was after. So the T_Cross seat is higher than the Kamiq by 46mm at the lowest setting and 39mm at the highest setting, so about 1.5 inches higher at the highest setting. The overall car height just gives you more headroom it is basically the design of the seat that accounts for the difference in driving height. e-Roottoot - thanks for your info too, obviously I will be trying them out when the time comes but I was just curious as to what accounted for the difference.
  7. Ok so the T-Cross is 53mm higher, about 2 inches. But, all other things being equal, that would just mean 2in extra headroom.
  8. I've been following this thread with interest as the Kamiq is on my list when the time comes to change my Fabia and I prefer a higher driving position. Does anyone know what the actual difference is between the T-Cross and the Kamiq to give the increased driving height. My understanding is that they are both built on the same platform. So, is it a different seat frame, a higher floor or is the whole car higher? Anyone Know?
  9. As far as I can see the lambda result is 1.030 which is right on the maximum limit of 1.030 so I would say it is very marginal. So it could easily fail on another tester or on another day. However, a pass is a pass, so relief all round.
  10. I seem to recall Honest John recommending a product called 'Wet and Forget' in reply to a similar question from a reader. I've not tried it myself as it's quite expensive and I've already got stock of a similar product for treating my drive. Maybe when that is all used up I'll get some. Like yourself, I usually use a small brush but it always comes back.
  11. Usually just a dead leaf or other debris found its way in via the air intake.
  12. Yes, it's the same. This extract is from the Fabia III 2015 > Workshop Manual.
  13. I've got my V5 to hand while reading this. Mine is a MKIII, NJ5 and the V5 shows the type as 5J also. In fact the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th characters of the Vin number are NJ5J.
  14. In my owners manual it says if you turn it off using the steering wheel controls and Maxidot then it is reactivated when the car is next started. However, if you turn it off using the infotainment screen options, while the ignition is on then it won't be reactivated. I've not tried it on mine. Mine brings up the warning sometimes, seemingly at random, but I have never had it brake on me yet.
  15. As the OP on this thread I just thought I would update it for completeness. I ordered two under seat storage boxes from SuperSkoda and they arrived in 4 working days. They actually have SEAT markings moulded on them but otherwise appear identical to the ones pictured earlier in this thread. I fitted them today, it took me about two hours, without removing the seats. Bit fiddly but nothing too difficult. Just to confirm what was said earlier, I had to completely remove the umbrella holder, which simply slid out after removing the two front seat mounting bolts.
  16. Excellent, a picture, or two, is worth a thousand words. I see what you mean about the size. I was expecting the bottom of it to more or less match the existing wrap around plastic trim but it is quite a bit lower. So, I think the umbrella holder will definitely have to go.
  17. Mine does it too, it's only done 400m since I got it the end of March. It's just the last few feet before the car stops completely and it is a bit of an irritant. I've been doing a lot of short journeys, less than 3m, in stop/start traffic recently but yesterday I had a 20m round trip and the brakes were silent even on returning home in the same traffic. This morning it was back to squeaking again so maybe, as you say, they need to be used more.
  18. Thanks for all the welcome messages and quick replies. I hadn't considered the umbrella holder to be a problem up till now as it's fixed to the floor and my passenger seat is on maximum height and well back so it clears it. Are we saying that the storage box can't be fitted with the umbrella holder there? If the seat was on minimum height and slid forward would it not clear the umbrella holder? Just thinking out loud here but if that is the case then I could easily dispense with the umbrella holder.
  19. I'm new to Skoda and this is my first post. I picked up my new Fabia Estate about 6 weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so far. I've been doing a bit of lurking on here for a while and I've read all the posts regarding under seat storage on Fabia Mk1 and II. I've got a gaping hole under my seats and was thinking of fitting some, however they don't seem to be available as an official accessory via Skoda for this model. I've seen some on the Superskoda site, which they say are for the MK III and looking at the fixing positions it seems that they would fit. So, has anyone bought these and fitted them? I'd just like to here any opinions before I take the plunge and order some. John
