  1. In the contrary, I would be surprised if the same software applied for pre and post wltp models. If it's solved for MY19, they will solve it for MY18. Unless they only give a **** about future customers and they don't even bother with old pre-wltp ones.
  2. So we might say that update works for MY19 but not MY18
  3. And the question is... why the 1.4 in the hybrids?
  4. Good news. Keep us posted!!!😊
  5. Do you mean they called you for an update or are you guessing this will happen this September? Its exactly my case too. Got it late June and had a software update in September which revealed the kangaroo. Never had the flat spot in second gear, luckily.
  6. Do you know if a version for MY18 is available?
  7. Could u be kind enough to specify if it is MY19 or MY18?
  8. The new CO2 targets, if I am not mistaken, are to be reached as a mean number of the total fleet. That will be achieved with the diesels (almost 50 % of the sales) plus the hybrids and electrics. I don't think you can achieve such numbers with any petrol engine.
  9. I believe that software only covers for it and i will explain why. Mine is an MY18 bought a bit over a year ago. When new, it didnt have the kangaaroo included. Instead it had a behavior of reving itself when starting off (even with no foot on the gas petal). Back then, most people called it "anti-stall" mechanism. A few months after i had an ECU fault incident and skoda service applied a software update. That's when the anti-stall mechanism was gone ang kangaroo popped out of the hood.
  10. In my case it does it cold ar warm, summer or winter, more or less but its there! I was talking about same country reports in any case.
  11. I beleive so myself. You cannot have different behavior in the same engine with the same ecu version. Unless there are mechanical diffeerences or different fine tuning in mechanical parts.
  12. How do you derive the fact that the issues are finally solved? MY18 are not touched yet. Its been more than a a year. Great after sales support by VW group. It seems it is rather a "shop" than a group.
  13. Where is the update for us older owners then?
  14. You don't notice its existence. I am not talking for the new update though. I haven't had that yet. I m an MY18. Never had the stall problem in second gear either.
  15. Mine, after the update does not have the "anti-stall" feature but does have the kangaroo. So not sure of it is that you are stating.
  16. Someone else posted that Skoda informed him that this update is only to do with the flat spot problem and not the kangaroo. For this a new update will follow within 2 months.
  17. If that's the case. Then it looks like it is not software. It must be hardware related and software only covers it. Mine which is a pre wltp model, did not initially have the problem. It did though have a strange over revving when starting in 1st. Which now leads me to the conclusion that it was only covering the problem. I had a software update after an ECU fault and then the kangaroo came out of it's sack! If it was software, all models would be affected. Wouldn't they? It looks like there is a hardware missconfiguration rather than a fault. And they are trying to solve it by playing with the software. What do you think?
  18. Still no proof that not all suffer. Just saying they don't is not an argument
  19. I m not convinced that there are cars not having the issue. I don't remember people in here reporting so.
