He said it was due to the information he had - the weather was going to stay like it was - and he wanted to continue and the team didn't override him (which they have also admitted was an error) whereas the Merc team thought the weather would get worse, and hauled Lewis in

When disaster struck for Bottas, I was half expecting a crash somewhere else up front, and a subsequent safety car / restart to give Lucky Lewis a podium.

It was nice having Ben Edwards on the BBC 5 live team for a change, but some of his pronunciation made me think there was a new Scottish driver and someone named after sleeping pills: McSchumacher and Nicky Temazepan

I reckon RB have at most half a dozen races to make use of their current advantage, before Mercedes inevitably catch up

Your (mystery) Service is Due.
The car was first registered on march 1st 2019. I've no idea when it was built, or PDI performed. Because it counted as a used car, i have a "appoved used multi-point checklist", not PDI paperwork I really should just call them and ask what they're on about.

Second service? It hasn't even had a first one. Given that COVID meant I haven't done a commute in about 8 months, plus a holiday driving to Holland was cancelled, my mileage would have been a lot bigger

Your (mystery) Service is Due.
I got a lovely automated impersonal mail-merge generated email today saying "a service" is due on my car. Given that they no longer supply cars with service books and details of what needs doing when, I much prefer asking strangers on the Internet for advice as to what service the dealership is talking about, rather than actually speak to someone on the phone The car is 21 months old and has only done 9500 miles, 150 of which are from its first 6 months sitting at the dealers before I got it. It's on variable servicing, with the car telling me the next oil service is due in 5800 miles, and the next inspection service in 9400 miles. So what's your money on for what the garage thinks is due? Aircon? Brakes? Random-stuff-we-make-up-to-claw-money-from-you?

Any tips on who or where to get extra batteries from? Had a "didn't realise it was low till it was too late" moment with my KP this week. With my ancient K10 i got lucky a few years ago and got a genuine extra battery along with grip from someone on eBay, but I don't want to stump up £60 for a new OEM for the KP. Any recommended "generics"?

Saw a convoy of 6 McLarens (no idea what model) of at least 5 different colours going up the A1 this afternoon

Visually etc. My car of the day -today
Saw 2 cars today which caught my interest, one of which I had never even heard of before. The first was a Ferrari F40, or at least I think it was one. It was smaller in real life than I expected, so might have been a dodgy MR2 with a body kit, but the sound of the engine pootling along the high street at 20mph suggested it was the real thing. The other, new to my experience, was a Nissan Stagea, with the full dropped, big wheels and tinted windows / lights treatment. It caught my eye because i couldn't work out why something that appeared to be a Vectra estate had a Nissan badge on the front

I found this quite interesting, but not everyone has a whole empty car park and perfect weather to work with. (or, for that matter, a 911)- Photography Thread
Took this a while back. We got more sunshine and it opened up further, but we're back to rubbish weather again- 2020 F1 Discussion
I was at Silverstone in 2013. lots of tyre issues that day not saying Lewis is Lucky - as in benefits from "good luck" more than he should, or more than others do - but he doesn't seem to suffer from the same "bad" luck as others. how would the race have looked if the Mercedes' tyre issues had happened the other way round ?- FUBAR's vRS drought has ended! - Introducing 'Slimer' (NOW SOLD)
The yellow's a great colour but I think it suits a small car (like the Mk 1 Fabia vRS) a lot better. Would have been interesting to see an Octavia vRS (of whatever mark) in the Dragon Green from the Superb.- Which driving mode do you use?
Individual - with everything in Sport except for turning the noise off as much as possible. If my 6-yr old asks for "red mode" I'll put it in sport to get the noise, which he seems to enjoy - and then switch back to Individual after getting annoyed with the sound about a minute later- Photography Thread
loving the finger framing. I've done plenty of those as a young 'un- Citigo e IV not on configurator (is it withdrawn?)
still no sign of them being available. Demonstrators are all well and good if you're thinking of buying, but not if you want to lease I wonder how many edf reserved for themselves before RHD production went on hold in order for them to still advertise leases like this https://www.edfenergy.com/electric-cars/leasing/skoda-citigo-e- 2020 F1 Discussion
It seemed like sometimes the commentators had the same problems too "It's the Haas in trouble, no, the Williams" "actually it was the Alfa Romeo " have a lottery at the start of the season where each team is assigned a different base colour, and stick with it, I say- Vrs estate aftermarket roof bars?
I'm watching this thread with interest as a noob in terms of carrying things on the roof Looking for recommendations on carrying bikes (1x Adult, 2x kids) mainly - Car Photography Thread
