More likely dealers doing a half-arsed PDI in UK......in France I've hardly ever been dazzled as over here

Rear disc/pads....
Well we made it home, real steady, window opened regularly to listen to the grinding ๐ Car in yesterday, picked up today.... 2 calipers Discs and pads Short brake lines Front drop link Interim service MOT ยฃ762....looks like we're keeping the Skud a while longer .....I had been looking at a C63 v8 estate ๐

Is it dead? Roll up, roll up, place yer bets....
I'll go with a 3rd option....it may charge...but will it hold and keep re-charging in general use? ๐ค

1990 Honda Beat... Uh?
SORN'ed as of end November, tucked away in the garage now the roofing work is completed. Needs a good looking over next year, neglected sadly due to little use due to 'you know what' the past 2 yrs.

Used Car Prices
Every disused Airfield is full of cars either off lease or used px's. I've been to 3 Cazoo prep centres in the last 2 years and what you see online is the tip of the Iceberg. Cinch will be the same. If/when Cazoo go under, BCA will have the used car market basically to theirselves and prices won't drop you can guarantee that

Adjusting cable disc brakes
I'd be looking at replacing with hydraulics.....tektro or clarks can be had for peanuts, frisking ebay usually comes up with plenty of others as people upgrade. I replaced my Whytes with Magura so I do have 2 calipers/levers but the thought of selling on eBay means they are sitting in a draw

E-bike
Classic eMTB mistake.....using the modes not the cassette. Cassettes now are waaaay too expensive to replace with only a couple of rings worn, spread the use.

Hardtail bars I ended up at about 760mm, the Orbea I've left standard, 780 ish? If your grips are lock ons and have push in end caps, experiment by slowly moving everything inwards to find best position. Otherwise adjust hand position and move clamps to suit. Modern MTBs are now slack geo-wise so now need weight over the front so are more of a hunched riding position and I think the majority will have short stems. The only way is trial and error = buying stems or possibly 'borrowing' a mates? Pump on the Felt in France I run similar to above but mounted behind the bottle carrier with longer screws. The Orbea has room only for bottle so I carry a mini pump in an EVOC 3l hip pack and now use the EVOC on the Whyte HT as well, saves on remembering what's where.

1990 Honda Beat... Uh?
Slight scare yesterday, going out at 6.30 to an evening near the in-laws.....ignition on, dash lights....click, click bugger! 1.5amp Trickle charger for 20 mins and away we go. No lights left on, no interior light, radio goes off with ignition....maybe doesn't like being left for 4 days? Talking of radio, was turning on but no display so time to investigate. First call...check the fuse in boot ๐ nope. But the one next to it bearing in mind they are marked fuel relay and 2 ECU....yep one of the ECU ones had blown. Radio back and the warning beep to say keys in ignition....I had completely forgotten we had that ๐. Looking forward to the LM Classic now ๐

Tough one.... I'd be inclined to not accept the one that was delivered to the Uni....could be anything in there. Bearing in mind we're talking large items and high value, the less risk you take the better nowadays

Tredz are useless.....I'm sure every time I've looked to order it seems they need to get product in and then deliver it? Re the German shops...I ordered wheels on a Sunday evening and they turned up on Tuesday afternoon during Lockdown 2020,now it's next to impossible apart from Mantel but ยฃ135 limit. 2 weeks into a nigh on 5 week holiday I've realised I could have made a 'Santa' war chest list and had it delivered to our place in France. Anyhow back on topic....hopefully the new bike turns up ๐ด๐

Well so far all trouble free.... Interesting when going shopping ๐ Bungee cords to hold 2 bags on rear shelf, bits in the boot and beer etc on the floor in-between OHs legs ๐ Out today for Lunch with in-laws so Tom'y got to be inside their garage out the sun and rain... 3 car garage, each door 3m wide to get the Fezza in without folding mirrors. I'm parked in the centre bay ๐

Back to reasonable 27c today ๐ I really must do the garden and fix the roof.... Somewhere there is a Deer on this pic....I managed to get closer by walking and I was upwind as well. I did manage a short video as it bounded away, I'll try and upload it later.
