  1. Only a picture of one wheel of my new Skoda Karoq, or as it should be called the Skoda Tardis. Rear seats out a couple of dust sheets and this lot in and off to the tip! Admittedly I put 2 trugs on the front passenger seat. This versatility is why I bought the car after having a couple of Van's in the past I always missed the space. I picked it up a week and a half ago and very pleased with the whole car. I will take a picture of it when its clean. Petrol blue, 1.5 sel, beige leather.
  2. I pick up my 1.5 SEL in petrol blue on Thursday ! Can't wait I've also gone for beige leather. I like light interiors. It will show the dirt more than black on the plastic but the leather should wipe off ok. Never had a GSG gearbox so looking forward to that.
  3. Mine is arriving at the dealers in Yeovil Somerset late this afternoon or tomorrow morning ! We'll pleased. Pick up next week but may have to wait until Thursday.
  4. Mine was also built week 48 and arrived in Sheerness on Monday. Don't know when it will move from there. It would be nice to get it before Christmas but not many working days left. Should know by this time next week ! Email to the dealer tomorrow to see if they know any more details than I can get from Skoda.
  5. I want to find out the current status of my new Karoq which is on order. Sorry if this sounds daft but I used the live chat service last weekend and now I cant find the link on the skoda website! you would think it would be under the contact us page but its not there. I could send them a email but they wont reply until after the weekend. Any help would be much appreciated.
  6. I've ordered a 1.5 DS Karoq without test driving a 1 ltr or 1.5 ltr of any configuration. I have driven my brothers Fabia with DSG and liked it. I have never owned a twin cluch car but when driving the works vans they are all 6 speed manuals and I find them a bit of a pain, forever seeing the shift warning. My wife drives a Toyota Aygo which is a three cylinder 1 ltr. You have to keep the revs up, I call it the little growler. The Karoq 3 cylinder 1 ltr may be different? but I think some 3 cylinder engines sound a bit lumpy. That's why I decided on the 4 cylinder 1.5 and fuel consumption is supposed to be almost identical. If you can, test drive one of each, and then decide.
  7. Many Thanks. Great to have the manuals !
  8. I called in to dealer today and asked about my car which was due to be built this week. Sales guy confirmed that it had been built and was in transit. I got the order number from him so will check in a day or so to find where it is. He said I should get it before christmas ! Fingers still crossed
  9. I like to see what is checked or needed for all services. After the warrenty has run outI hope to do all the servicing. If I have to buy electronic test equipment for checking the 'foo foo' valve hopefully a suitable tool will be available for the price of two or three dealer sevices ? My car is due to be built next week !!!
  10. The Wesfalia option may be the way to go. At least it can be kept in the dry if easily detachable
  11. Thanks for the reply guys. I'll have a good look at mine when I get it. I like the skoda bar that flips down from underneath and clicks into place. The factory fit bar seemed expensive but maybe it will end up a similar price if I go down the retro fit route ? I like getting the spanners out so fitting is not a problem. When I finally get the car I will get some comparison prices including skoda oem prices for the parts.
  12. I've ordered the towbar prep option on my soon ? to be built Karoq. I did not go for the full towbar fit as I may not require it, but decided to get the prep option in case I need to tow a trailer at a later date. I currently can use a van for transporting my toys (motorcycles ) and general big stuff. Does anyone know what the actual prep details are during the build ? Possibly electrics. Any bracketry etc . And would I have to use skoda kit to later fit the towbar ?
  13. Emailed my sales guy today and he replied my car (1.5 SE L auto petrol blue and a few extras) is still showing build week 48 week commencing 26 th November and said they should get it towards the middle of December. He said As soon as the car is built and on its way to us I will have more of an idea on exact dates. I hope he's right ! it would be nice to get it before Christmas. I ordered it on 13th October and was told it could be March / April 2019 before delivery so maybe they have upped production. Fingers crossed
  14. Thanks for the help guys. I bought my last car new and have kept it for fourteen years so looking forward to driving a new Karoq.
  15. I ordered a Karoq yesterday (sel 1.5 in petrol blue and beige leather) and didn't check with the dealer weather the electric windows are one touch up and down or another configuration. Can anyone help me out with the answer. Big wait untill I drive it. I don't collect it untill March next year! Sorry just realized I've put this post in the wrong place.
