  1. Never got why people worry about radio sound quality when you are driving round in a metal box, on a loud tarmac or even concrete road with rumble strips and lorrys , buses, motorbikes and boy racers with loud exhausts near you!
  2. https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/trimline-scenic?activePage=trimlines&color=K4K4&configurationId=&extraEquipments=&id=GBR%3Bskoda%3B2025%3BPV5DA5%3B0%3BGYOZYOZ%3Bmda20240412014820%3Ben-GB%3B%3B63509%3B63569&interior=GM&modifiedPages=&snapshotVersion=70df67ae-23cb-49d2-81ad-2d1f11073335&trimline=PVD|SE Technology6356963509&visitedPages= The first edition comes with lots of extras, but prices keep going up as well. Can't keep up with Skoda recently and new models, seems as soon as you buy one it's out of date! The se tech now gains heated seats and the sel gains extras. Take it the order from stock only, means no factory orders?
  3. Just a few weeks wait for 60 Edition metallic race blue to arrive, just a bit disappointed it's not coming with v4 software, bit naughty of Skoda.
  4. My Samsung A34 shows google directions on the virtual display as well as the main.
  5. @jpeg86. Your maps are out of date so are you sure you're getting OTA updates?
  6. UK Over the air are dropping for 1941 you just need to be a bit more patience. It's worth the wait. Or call into a dealer to sort it if you're in a rush and not confident of doing it yourself. I was tempted to DIY but it's not my car, so very happy it was showing as OTA this morning.
  7. Got mine, it's update this morning it's. just installing 1941 now, waiting for it to download. UK. Old version was 1898 👍😁 כי System information Device part number: 5E3035816K Hardware: H58 Software: 1898 Display unit/control panel hardware: H47 Display unit/control panel software: 2103 Navigation database: 23.3 Media Codec: 3.1.4
  8. Would appreciate the 1941 update, currently on 1896 with reboot issues, skoda garage just keep reloading the same 1896 back on. Cars only a few months old.
  9. Must be lucky. No problems with my 2 month old octavia tech auto diesel
  10. Tried but can't find it when does the Skoda factory usually close for summer break/retooling?
  11. So better route planner says it's 140miles with 30% left. = 20kw at 3kwh ish! = 60 miles total =200miles on a full charge. much better than i thought as keep reading stories of only 140 miles on a full charge in winter.. I'm just used to fill current car with diesel drive 600 miles fill again, whole different world in an electric car.
  12. I haven't got the car yet, but just playing with apps etc. Does ....a better route planner.... when you put the make and model in, use Skoda figures or average. eg Skodas 240miles for the 60kw or real life averages? to work out if any stops are needed. I presume its using Skodas figures and doesn't take into account winter etc, but will it adjust as it works out my average speed? = slower = more miles.
  13. Currently have the MK3 and same thing happens on that with the wipers, for some reason it bugs me, it doesn't leave a clean line as it does when it returns to the home position, thought it would be different on the MK4 when mines delivered in a few weeks, but doesn't sound like it. Would love to know the reason for it! Still on edge about the new MK4 arriving soon, just hope it's software is fault free. The MK3 it's replacing has been used fault free high mileage for 3yrs as a true work horse.
  14. Same thing my company does. I was lucky it only took 11months instead of the 18months
  15. H i Stray. We don't get an allowance, it's just a case of pick a colour and it's classed as a company car, we never own it. You're much better off with the Enyaq 60 than your previous cars. Do think the electric car is just a passing fad, much like wind turbines. Hydrogen and tidal turbines are the future. But that's a political discussion for another day 🙂 I am getting a new octavia mk4 jan2023 whilst my company sort there farce with electric out! To replace my old mk3 octavia
  16. Auto diesel estate tech, ordered April 2022 arriving Jan 2023. Reason for date change as was supposed to be delivered April 2023 = Early Build! It's a company car ordered through a lease company. Several other employees are also getting there cars delivered, all ordered at same time.
  17. Cant edit previous post. Forgot to add price of iv60 plus 3k add on package = same price(ish) as basic iv80 so hopefully they agree.
  18. I'm pushing for the iv80 instead of the iv60. My company has added a pack to the base model iv60 of 3k to encourage us to take it up. But i would have to use public and home chargers to cover the distances i do. The iv80 would do the miles just with charging at home. They really haven't thought this through, but that doesn't surprise me! They just want us to go green for PR reasons! Also some utility companies are offering new customers a very low overnight (6hrs) rate, so i wouldn't be loosing out at 8p per mile back from my company. This is going to be matched with the HMRC quarterly reviewed rate. I will more than be happy with the basic spec iv80 for the increase miles. I am aware of massive reductions in miles from the advertised mileage!
  19. @Joel303L the 8ppm is set by the HMRC It was recently 6ppm and only reviewed once every 12months. A recent campaign by motoring organisations got it moved to 8ppm (they wanted 12ppm) and it's now reviewed every quarter by HMRC Our company will pay for home charging points, but just pay back at HMRC Rate ppm. Relying on us to shop around for cheap electric, or loose out! Not the way to go by HMRC or companies that are pushing for us all to go Green. We currently have a fuel card for diesel, asked about just using that to pay for electric, but apparently that's complicated at a tax level, can't see how as it's just the same as using it for diesel?!
  20. Unit rate (23:30 - 05:30): 10.00p/ kWh Unit rate (05:30 - 23:30): 44.28p/ kWh Standing Charge: 47.04p/ day Prices include VAT. and seems they are accepting new customers now. Just checked again but that's dooable for me, just have to check what charger my company will be fitting to my house, reading up they say the new ones are smart ones and i won't have to wait up to plug/unplug it 🙂 the deal is i have to make my mind up next week, so a delay of 8-12 months for it to arrive, im thinking thngs will have started to calm down and energy companies will be back with the offers. ops just thought. Sorry i forgot to check Briskoda policy, i'm not advertising 🙂 so will remove any links to energy companies as don't want to be banned for advertising!
  21. Wow toot, thats amazing. I have been talking to some luck people at charging points as i am driving around. There are a couple of fast free chargers on the main cost road in wales, the person driving a huge audi, said she hasn't paid for any electric since she got it this january. But the people that do that know it's not going to last. They have put some free ones on a retail park near me, just a bit too far to walk and leave the car, but some people do leave it to charge up and go back later, takes hours as it's only a slow charger. But worth the effort as they only plod round locally so a full charge will last a while. Not pratical for the mileage i do Currently the company pays for all the diesel. We would have to pay for the electric with a return of 8p per mile, just wondering how other company car drivers pay for it? They all can't be driving round loosing money?
  22. Thanks for the in depth replies. It's going to be the 60kw skoda. covering arount 20k a year based in the nothwest. My electric is currently 37 p/kwh Looked at the utility companies, seems they aren't offering low EV rates to new customer, to add to that some aren't even accepting new customers. Our company has added 3k extra pack to the 60kw Enyaq, to encourage us to move to electricwe said they would have been better putting that towards the 80kw model. it's a 4 yr lease, used to be 3years. Looks like i will be sticking to the new Octavia diesel . And waiting for the world to calm down. Also noticed as Phil245 says, that some night time discounts only last for 4hours. We're adding more cars and chargers as quickly as we can, and you've just added another vote for your make and model. You do not have a smart meter / you're smart meter isn't eligible You do not have a compatible car or charger
