  1. Likewise. I got a genuine Skoda 32Gb card which I think originated in Romania for £25. The seller is UK based and the card arrived in 48hr via Royal Mail. The map is full Europe, works fine but is last year's. I feel an update coming on this week.
  2. I got two Michelins this morning from Costco for £134.77. They put the new tyres on the rear and moved the rears to the front as a matter of course. Apparently there are big discounts on Bridgestones next week but my MoT is on Tuesday.
  3. My 2016 1.6 diesel DSG Estate is due for a service and MOT this month. They dealer said the cambelt needed changing (5 years/100,000Km) for a mere £500. After reading this long thread, I've decided to add a new water pump for another £100 though I've not had any issues with the temperature. I was surprised at the short life of the cambelt. My Citroëns and Fords cambelts are replaced at 10 years /200,000Km but hey-ho. I need two front tyres too, so that's £150+ even at Costco. Motoring ain't cheap.
  4. In practice, there's plenty of warning given for speed cameras, and they are often in the expected places, like the bottom of hills and on long straights.

  6. I think the issue is the medium over which the digital traffic info is transmitted. As it's commercial, Classic FM/DAB is currently used, not the BBC. Does the Amundsen DIB2 use this channel?
  7. I see Garmin Digital Traffic will cease at the end of June, a service supplied by (or so I believe) INRIX via Classic FM. I was wondering which service Skoda used and if there would be an impact on my 2016 Octavia Amundsen MIB2. Cheers, John.
  8. I've uploaded the Times Radio logo to my site, which can easily be downloaded: http://bigjohnd.org.uk/Briskoda/times-radio.png I've also included it in Skoda's Zipfile of all radio station logos, if anyone needs the rest of them. http://bigjohnd.org.uk/Briskoda/GB-RadioStationLogos.zip (About 8.5Mb) HTH, cheers. John
  9. Thanks, Ecomatt. Hopefully there'll be another mpg or two. I wonder why the service manager didn't tell me that …
  10. Just had my 2016 1.6D DSG serviced and MoT'd at 55,000 miles. Nothing to report for either. 👌 Service manager said the Stop/start software had been updated and said I probably wouldn't notice any difference! What I have noticed is that the engine oil temp seems to be cooler - c.95°C now, c.100°C before. Probably new filters.....
  11. https://www.scdb.info/en/karte/ may have speed camera info for Skoda/Norway. You will need to subscribe. 😕
  12. The split screen on my Amundsen SatNav shows nearby cafés, filling station and other places along with directions. I've searched the Nav options but can't see how to prevent them from appearing. I find it a real real nuisance when 2 (or 3) manoeuvres are close together. Apologies if this has been asked before, but the search didn't seem to produce anything. (Aside: The postcode of Costco in Liverpool is L3 7HY. The premises are more or less over the Wallasey Mersey Tunnel - but the Octavia's SatNav directed me into the tunnel! Whoops! You have been warned. BTW, diesel is £1.15 a litre there today.)
