If the car runs lean or rich you are gona have engine trouble very soon valve vsr failed sensors especialy lambda . fix the staling problem and go asap to your instaler to make all the nesesery adjastments in order the car to run without check engine light. -
that isn't a relay,it is the alternators voltage regulator an electronic device which regulates the output of the alternator at 13.8 VDC.

check the brake fluid level and don't drive the car until you do that.Also check for brake fluid leaks arround the car.

check the gearchange linkage the mechanic might have disturbed the hoses and one of them gets in the way. -
12 vdc are the red and the yellow wires

on some 1.6 octavias the clutch works like that if it is not slipping don't change it .

For AVU and BFQ is located in a big multi-hosed plastic house on the end of the block

check the two hoses which transfer hot water to the heater radiator when the car gets hot those two expand and touch the gear change linkage causing the problem you describe

my mk1 octavia tour was built at march 2007 i own it from July of 2007 -
i had the same problem and finaly was sorted when i replaced th tyres.

try to locate the leak dont use products for blocking minor leaks these products will damage your cooling system.

i had the same problem a few weeks ago what i did was to cut the overheated terminal grimp a new one in its place and soldered it ,also i replaced the fuse which connects to the terminal as a precaution because it had overheated also the good thing with me was that the fuse box didnt melt

searching over the internet i found this: http://www.flashlube-europe.com/en/products/flashlube-valve-saver-kit.html is it any good ? the instaler of the LPG told me that it is not nececary for my car becayse it dosent suffer from valve seat ressesion. :wonder:
