Not so different a climate here, I managed 103000miles all round on my 12 plate Superb Estate. 69 plate now on 76000 and still going strong.

I've never been able to get mine to read 128gb cards for more than the first couple of tracks. 64gb similar, and until recently, 32gb worked fine, but now one card is playing the same trick. Other 32gb card is fine. The 32gb playing up was used to upload satnav update, tben formatted, then music added. Wierd. Maybe I'll try new cards, unless someone on here has any ideas as to the problem.

Just love all the tech. May not use it all the time, but always fun when I do. I like the "stick shaker" effect when approaching a lane line. Only problem is the mammoth distance the parallel parking facility leaves. If there is one piece of tech I do not find useful is in certain Volvos and BMWs where the bloody seat starts to retract as you pull away - very unnerving.

Thanks for that. I've recently ordered a 64gb sd card to be ready! Since it doesn't have to search between directories, does it install any faster? or will still take the best part of an hour?

I've just downloaded this file. Normally the files are nearly 30gb. This is omnly 17gb. Is it therefore the correct file for a Superb III, MY 2020? If so, does anyone know why it is so much smaller> Is it some kind of new compression method?

Sad day. Took to body shop after meeting a kamikaze muntjac. But then again, it could have been a roe or fallow deer, and wouldn't just need a nose job but a new vehicle. No idea what it'll cost apart from insurance excess.

Not sure about the first part, but in my Superb mkIII, the usb-A in the centre pocket seems to connect phone to Columbus, but pluging same into a USB adapter in the cig lighter/ash tray in the rear Columbus does not recognise the device. I always do my updates using the SD Card slots in the glove box. Both seem to work OK.

The car is under the extended warrant program so no money hit on that, justr the inconvenience, and looking at an unusally emoty driveway. The roof is another matter - 50 year old corrugated and not insured, but just thinking on the savings I've mad over thyears makes it feel better.

Had a bum week last week. Monday, 69 plate L&K 190 diesel estate in for second (20,000 mile) service and advised of oil leak beetween engine and gear box, so today and tomorrow, no wheels. Has anyone else any similar problem? Also battery tested as not up to par so to be tested again today, and possibly to be replaced. Thursday, building roof take off by wind. Friday, a puncture - screw intyre shoulder so replaced. Hopefully thats the sequence of three completed!

Just downloaded from portal, took around an hour. Unzipped to hard drive, 12 minutes Copied to fast SD Card 37 minutes Usual installation in car is around an hour, but I do nee the ingnition on, and when the ignition times out the process suspends, to continue when ignition back on.

12 months old this month and 16,000 on the clock. No chance of lockdown here, but still 10,000 short of normal, since only two Scottish journies. two Cornish, but no France, Spain, Italy. I feel bereft - paid for all those estimated miles on my insurance, and not done 'em.

And can anyone tell me, why, when we park our pride and joy in an empty area of the supermarket carpark, 100 yards from the door to said shop, no other cars for 50 yards, when we return the car is surrounded by old bangers parked so close to pride and joy you have to keep hold of the door to prevent hitting said bangers while squeezing in to the drivers seat? Mind boggling. No doubt a psychologist amongst us can explain?????
