We have both......... But if I'm honest I prefer the Karoq. I don't think you will be dissapointed !

Some importers have fallen foul of something or other to do with Brexit & import duties or something, I seem to remember when I was buying Heko's for my Citroen Relay camper.... But there are are Heko's for a Karoq advertised on the bay for sensible money......

Hate DSG or any automatic prefer to make the decision on what gear I am in myself. Don't need 4 x 4, It hasn't snowed here in 20 years As said, each to their own.....

I struggled when I was buying mine as my requirements were, must be Sportline, must be 2.0TDi, must be a manual, must not be 4x4.... The dealer said that will be a rare car indeed...... But he managed to find one in my chosen colour, with Virtual cockpit and a proper(ish) spare wheel... Mine might be the only one in the country......

But as my days of driving on the limit or anywhere near it are long since gone I don't worry about that...! But I do let the fronts wear out first, then buy new, putting the new on the back and bringing the back to the front. Not for any handling reasons, but so I only have to buy two new tyres at a time !! On a 4x4 there may be an argument to rotate them to prevent axle wind up, but not sure about that on a Karoq..! .

I haven't fitted them to a Karoq, but have fitted them to my Fiat Ducato campervan..... I just used a screwdriver to push them in. I think that if you don't use the clips the deflectors will block the channel that the glass uses to slide up, I don't think the self adhesive strips will "pull" the glass out of the way. But I haven't actually tried it without them..... Good luck with it....

That is an entirely subjective matter that only you can answer. It certainly wouldn't be anywhere near enough for mine. Take it for a test drive when permitted ( 12th April?) and decide then.

Yes I set off for work one snowy morning and fussed and fretted all day wondering what the orange warning light was and whether I could get an appointment at the dealers with covid being around to get it looked at. By home time the snow had slid off and all systems go ! Wasted a day worrying about it though! It has happened a couple of times since driving during heavy snow, I have even stopped en-route to clear the built up snow...!

I had a retractable parcel shelf on the Octavia. Never used it. I much prefer a proper parcel shelf, it seems to make the car a bit quieter inside. On the very infrequent occasions that it is in the way I simply take it out and put it in the garage............... Just goes to show we all like different things......

Her MY19 Golf has these...... But on my MY20 Sportline the light is in the bottom of the door, shining directly onto the floor whenever you open driver or front passenger door. The light spells out "Skoda" very crisply onto the ground. Always impresses people who haven't seen it before...!

I bought the Superskoda boot lights for the Octavia I had. When I sold it I took out the lights and put the originals back in..... I've put one of the pair in the Karoq, it fitted perfectly ( the other will be going in the missus's Golf when I get round to it...) I do remember them being expensive ( there are much cheaper LED boot lights advertised on the bay), but the brightness speaks for itself.... You are going to get what you pay for here.... And like me, in a few months you will have forgotten exactly what you did pay....!

Ah....the "free" coffee from the smiling blonde, the plush waiting room with "free" wifi, "free" newspapers etc and "Complimentary" wash......... As labour rates whizz onwards & upwards of £100 an hour..... We take our vans at work to an excellent local garage with three extremely knowledgeable mechanics. Sadly nothing there is "free"......... But the labour rate is £40 an hour + VAT......

Your Skoda is effectively an Audi or Volkswagen. The main components are shared across all VAG vehicles. The only way to justify charging you many thousands of pounds less than the equivalent model with a posher badge is to leave a few piddly little bits off. Prop the boot floor up with a stick or something, and when Covid allows book yourself a nice holiday somewhere overlooking the Mediterranean with the money you have saved and as you sit there in the evening with a carafe of wine watching the sun go down you can contemplate whether the trade off was worth it....... ......... .

Yeah.....I bought mine in May 20 for delivery from stock in June 20. Got a fantastic deal that I couldn't really believe, not as good as yours, but mine wasn't pre registered and it had the options I wanted.... I think those were the dark days of lockdown 1 and dealers didn't really know what was coming and were desperate to shift stock.... My impression now is that the opposite applies in some parts of the motor industry at least, with demand outstripping supply and prices hardening......

Yes possibly...?? But having said that when you take a car to a garage they lift it evenly on a proper ramp, I wouldn't want to try & lift a significant part of the cars weight at one small point.... But then my affliction of worrying about things like costs me a fortune, one of a million reasons why I wouldn't buy a second hand car.....

It's a car...! Wipe it with whatever you fancy !! We use all sorts of aerosol and trigger spray antibac stuff on the vans in work. I spray it all over overything and wipe it with whatever comes to hand, an old cloth, a bit of paper towel, my mates coat, anything. The vans still work & look fine..... Don't be too fussy......

I have OCD and so don't like lifting just one corner of the car in case I twist or over load with stress the part of the car I am lifting..... I therefore use 2 trolley jacks simultaneously either side of the car at the front or back, pumping a few strokes at a time or getting my lad to assist, so that the car raises at the front or back evenly...... However you may be more balanced ( get it ?) than me and not worry about such things....... .
