The biggest issue is that the 1.5TSI is available as a manual or DSG whereas the 190 TSi is DSG only. If you want a manual gearbox like I did you can't have the 190 engine in petrol or diesel. The best engine I could get ( well, torqueist!) with a manual gearbox was the 2.0TDI 150 . If you prefer DSG then I would have gone for the 2.0 petrol. Yes the Sportline has a glorious Pano roof as standard and both the blind and the roof open electrically..... A fantastic car (in my opinion.....!!)

Yeah, we had them to tow big caravans, but we've got a camper van now. The Disco's are hard ( for me) to justify as a daily driver as I commute a fair distance..... My dad had over 20 Disco's, RR's etc and has now got a Velar. Between me, my parents & sisters we've probably had over 40 LR's..... But their relentless drive up market is slowly pushing them out of (my) reach.....

Or use a spade and a couple of barrow loads of grit to spread out round the lorry wheels, driver goes for a fag, a pee and a brew. When he comes back the ice has gone and off he goes.... Cost of grit something like a fiver ( we buy it in bulk bags at work.......) Cost of Landrovers vastly overpriced Defender.....£50k+...?? (I do actually like Landrovers and have had two Disco's myself)

As I said above, her Kessy Golf failed at 18 months and 2700 miles (yes!) from new. We started using the spare fob but unbelievably that failed the next day as well. There is a way of getting into the car and starting it with a failed fob, worth knowing.... Two new Panasonic CR2025's arrived last night and I fitted them this morning, both fobs working as normal now. The consensus on that forum is they should be changed annually on Kessy cars. I've bought a job lot this morning on Amazon, they are as cheap as chips, and will just change them regularly now on both cars. As has been said elsewhere......Keyless - solves a problem I never had....!

Had been ignoring this thread till now...! Her Golf GTi is 18 months old now & Keyless. Just gone to it now on the drive and couldn't get in ! No red light on the fob. Managed to get in and move it with the spare key. After trawling the Golf forum found about the fob batteries failing with no warning. Lucky she wasn't out in it ! Have managed to separate the key and ordered a job lot of CR2025 batteries as spares. I'm guessing that I have got these issues to come with the Karoq soon..... .

As above, I can confirm that the Sportline is indeed the choice of the discerning buyer.......

I had this on another vehicle, not a Skoda ( or VAG vehicle) and cured it by spraying the UJ in the steering column located somewhere behind the brake pedal with WD40. If you try that though be sure to cover the pedals with a rag or something so you don't get any WD40 on the pedal rubbers !!

I think you may find there is little market for carpet mats, whenever I look for rubber mats on ebay they seem to command higher prices than secondhand (but new) carpet mats. First thing I ever do when I buy a car is put the carpet mats in the loft and buy a set of rubber mats.... But good luck with the sale......and enjoy your new car, we have a reasonably quick (!) Golf and the Karoq, but I prefer driving the Karoq........

Oh....? My impression is the opposite. We used to have a Golf Mk7 GTD that had an auxiliary heater built into the heater matrix. If you pressed the Max Defrost button it brought this on and warm air chuffed out the vents pretty quickly. At the time I was working regular night shifts and this was a godsend for a quick getaway at the end of a shift...... The Karoq, with very basically the same engine, doesn't appear to have this.? Mine seems to take an age to warm up, and I have never seen any reference to the Karoq TDi's having them.? A shame really...... The only blessing is that I've escaped nights in my new job and I've rigged up a cabin preheater ( little electric heater on a plinth, sits on the back seat for half an hour while I have brekkie in the morning, plugs into a socket on the drive....).... .

Using Google translate our friend in Belgium appears to be saying he replaced his wipers with the Aerotwins today and has no more problems......

Pretty sure the 12v socket ( cigarette lighter in old money) is a "standard" blade fuse 'cos I blew mine fitting an accessory in the boot and had to buy some spares..........

Just about every VAG car I've had seems to steam up on the inside quite badly for the first few minutes when I get in and start it in the winter. No idea why why, but it's noticeably worse than the various other makes of car we have and have had..... It's a characteristic......!

There are several threads on this. Some people advocate cleaning the glass with this or that but the general consensus is that you need the Bosch Aerotwin wipers.........

Hmm, On my way home now stuck behind a guy dawdling for England. Opportunity to overtake coming out of a slow corner, floored it in second and got wild wheelspin. ( 2WD & Wet roads up here). But no axle tramp at all, and I'm on Turanza's. I'd forgotten how torquey the 2.0 TDi is........

It looks good on those 19" wheels. You don't want to go and spoil it with diddy wheels on it..........

I would echo the above, although my 2.0 TDI Sportline is 2WD I get 50mpg regularly on a 40 mile commute on Welsh A & B roads.... I love the kit the Sportline comes with but chose Virtual cockpit for a bit of glitz and a spare wheel. After that it has everything I need.......

The mud just gets all over the mudflaps which with my OCD I really can't stand so I was endlessly washing the mudflaps ! I don't bother with them on any cars now...... They might be worth having if you are "normal", but as they don't seem to actually stop the car getting dirty and there is now 4 dirty mudflaps to see as well, they are a no no for me !

There are threads on numerous car forums showing photo's of "extreme parking" where those of us who care about our car go to great lengths to find somewhere to park where the morons can't open their car door against your car.... I always park at the furthest end of supermarket car parks where the lazy and feckless can't be bothered walking from. At work I have managed to find somewhere round the back that nobody else bothers with.... A perpetual problem and I sympathise with the OP if he can't find anywhere to park away from others who don't give a toss about your property.....
