2018 Superb. How does Adaptive cruise, front assist, emergency brake, and blind spot work in real life?
On on of the setting (not sure how I get to it) the maxidot shows if there is a car in front on the maxidot (think it may be select Driver Assist on the maxidot and one of the option there) This is always on - not only when the ACC is active (think the car is white when ACC on, and outline if not) It doesnt always "see" the car in front though. The same happens with ACC - sometimes it doesnt detect and would run into it, if you didnt brake.

Is theft of infotainment systems an issue?
Relative has messaged me this morning telling me the infotainment system of her VW Sharan has been stolen. I have to admit that I didn't think it was a problem since systems were coded to a car (unlike when people used to nick radios in the past, and we had removeable radios / screens etc) I quick google though does seem to show other cases, and that in some cases component protection can be removed. Anyone know if skoda / VAG have fixed this?

Skoda Superb DSG vs VW Passat DSG
Agreed. I have the 7 speed wet - no jerkyness at all,. The 1.6 Passat will have the dry DQ200, the Superb (and newer passat 2.0) the wet 7 speed (DQ381).

Charger to use for 2015 Octavia Elegance TDI 1968 CC Diesel Auto with Stop/Start
Im considering buying a new charger to replace my old fashioned heavy charger. Not that I need to charge at the moment, but having 3 cars (that are being used less) I know the day will come when I need it. Two cars have standard batteries, and the Skoda a EFB / Stop Start. Looked on Autoexpress, and ctek keeps getting mentioned on this site. I went to the ctek website though and got confused. Options include: MXS 5.0 MXS 5.0 Test and Charge CT5 Time to Go CT5 Start stop. Sealey Autocharge650HF RIng RSC612 Ring Do you need a different charger for start and stop? Some have a recond mode? Is there any advantage to charging the battery on this a every 6 months / years to make sure it is topped up?

Moll car battery at 11.79V - normal?
I have an Exide 096 battery (EFB) that I think was original out the factory, about 30months old. Im getting 11.0v to 11.7v when measured in the morning after standing overnight. Sometimes I get low battery warning. Skoda claim the battery is fine, but I am not so sure? Can a charger (like a ctec) be put on whilst still connected to the car? Is I disconnect does it cause issues (Superb 2018)

Anyone know what Battery Voltage (EFB+) there should be?
Car is about 30 months old.

Can anyone help decipher B14A612 error - superb 2018?
Battery seems to be the place to start! It is still under warranty, so I push the dealer again. I suspect the problems will disappear if the battery is sorted.

Can anyone help decipher B14A612 error - superb 2018?
There appear to be two issues on the code above. The first one says "Archive Inactive" - and is B14A612: Emergency call speaker Short circuit to B This went to the dealer who "updated" the software and cleared. It came back again the next day. The second time round it seems like the error is B120A15: Hall sensor in motor 2 for rear hatch Open circuit/short circuit to B. The car does not have a powered tailgate? so I am not sure what the errors are. Both times with a low battery warning. I am getting around 11.4v. The dealer claims the battery voltage has no connection to the error??

Anyone know what Battery Voltage (EFB+) there should be?
Im new to more modern skodas, so am note sure what is "normal" behaviour. My car seem to display a warning very quickly (if the radio is used without the engine etc), and on botth ocassions has lead to a "sos emergency fault" fault that does not clear. The voltage is around the same as yours, but the dealer claims the battery is fine. I am starting to think that the car is designed not to fully charge the battery - but only put sufficient power in to start it next time? What are others finding? Start Stop cuts aafter a short run, which I would image would disable if it felt the battery was on the way out?

Anyone know what Battery Voltage (EFB+) there should be?
Anyone know what voltage I should expect from a EFB+ Battery on the super? Get around 11.9/12.1v is this normal?

Prospective owner - I have a few questions
You can get a spacesaver wheel from the dealer (comes with a polystyrene block / jack etc) I beleive that not all skodas can have towbar retrofitted? - certain options do not allow it for some reason? Check beforehand.

Anyone tried Car Scanner Pro? Alternative to OBDEleven or Carista
There is a free version (that is pretty complete) and you can upgrade to "pro" unlocks a few more features (more charts on a graph etc). You "chose" how much you pay for the pro version between £2.69 - £5.99

Anyone tried Car Scanner Pro? Alternative to OBDEleven or Carista
Just to read error codes. I had VCDS several years ago (for an older VAG) that I will upgrade soon, but it is useful to be able to keep a basic elm in the car to read any codes without a laptop. On the newer models, most of the "adaptations" can be done on the info screen.

Anyone tried Car Scanner Pro? Alternative to OBDEleven or Carista
Had it installed already on the phone. Think I used it on a citroen (basic obd), recently got a vag and carista (but not made any changes). Notice that there are many more options on the car scanner Pro with the vag rather that the citroen. Also appears to offer coding, similar to obdeleven. Benefit is the cost, and ability to use a obd Elm adapter rather than the obdeleven specific.

Anyone tried Car Scanner Pro? Alternative to OBDEleven or Carista
OBDEleven often gets recommended (followed by Carista that is more limited) Has anyone used Car Scanner Pro. Seems to work ok with the Carista (or other ELM327), and has more coding features than Carista (including the option to undo- history) https://www.carscanner.info/

DriveGreen - High score / lower MPG - 2.0TDI /2018
I have noticed when driving, it I am very gentle and get a high Greenscore (96-100) I am returning a lower MPG (say 33mpg urban), on the same run, in the same conditions (engine temp etc) if I ignore GreenDrive and drive more "normally" - a bit quicker acceleration, but probably more time of the accelerate as you so downhill / up to junctions, the display shows that I am returning around 40mpg. How are others getting o?
