  1. A 2L engine is fine unless you care a lot about fuel economy and do a lot of driving in traffic. If long-distance trips are your main focus, then 2L engines are the best choice. But if heavy traffic trips are common for you, I think you should go with the 1.5 engine. I used to drive a 1.5 Tiguan and now driving a 2.0 Superb. I find both to be good engines.
  2. Hi, I have a new Skoda Superb Mk4 (2026, MIB4 infotainment, software version 2768). Today, the car went offline in MySkoda, and the globe icon in the infotainment turned grey. Important detail: The car is usually parked in underground level -2 parking, where the mobile signal is extremely weak or nonexistent. After taking the car outside and driving it for a while, it still remained offline. Current symptoms: grey globe icon remote services unavailable car shown offline in app no SOS/eCall errors Has anyone experienced this after losing LTE signal in underground parking? Does the OCU/telematics module sometimes get “stuck” and require: infotainment reboot, deep sleep, or dealer reset? Trying to understand whether this is: a common MIB4/software/backend issue, or something worth checking at the dealer already. One more important detail: disconnecting the 12V battery and reconnecting it completely solved the issue temporarily. The car immediately came back online afterward. However, the exact same problem returned the next day in the same scenario: - car parked on underground level -2 with no/very weak signal, - then remaining offline afterward with a grey globe icon. This makes me suspect the telematics/OCU module may be getting stuck after signal loss, rather than this being purely a backend/server issue. Thanks.
  3. Did you disable the keyless feature? This happened to me. I had to turn it back on, even though I kept the unlock/lock feature disabled when arriving or leaving the car.
  4. I confirm: I picked up my brand-new Superb yesterday, and I was surprised to see that the ACC adapts to speed limits. As mentioned, this can be disabled in the settings. Luckily.
  5. It started after ~85.000 km.
  6. I used to see engine misfires with OBD11. Then the service recommended an intake system cleaning, and they are now gone. So, I guess I can say it worked.
  7. Welcome to the club, Neil. I’m sure you’ll love your Octavia vRS. Enjoy the drives!
  8. Got it. I own a petrol - so I cannot answer to your question, but Gemini can, so dropping its answer here (which aligns with what I've read before about Superb PHEVs): For the 2024 Skoda Superb Estate 1.5 TSI PHEV, that 75-mile (120 km) figure is based on the WLTP cycle, which is notoriously optimistic because it’s conducted in laboratory conditions. Since you've never plugged it in, you are essentially driving a very heavy petrol car. However, if you do decide to start charging it, here is what you can realistically expect from that 25.7 kWh battery in the "real world": 1. Real-World Electric RangeWhile the lab says 75 miles, actual drivers and testers generally see: Summer/Ideal Conditions: 55–65 miles. If you are driving strictly in the city or on 40–50 mph suburban roads, you might get closer to 70 miles because the electric motor is extremely efficient at lower speeds. Winter/Cold Weather: 35–45 miles. Cold weather is the "kryptonite" of PHEVs. The battery chemistry is less efficient, and the car consumes a lot of energy just to heat the cabin.
  9. I am just wondering why :). Why would you spend money on a PHEV (more expensive and consumes more petrol than a full petrol car, due to battery weight)? I am sure you have your own reasons; I am just curious to hear them.
  10. Thanks for sharing all the details. It sounds promising.
  11. Hi all, Anyone here already got their hands on a new Skoda Superb MK4 this year? I’m curious to hear some real-world impressions: How’s the software so far (infotainment, HUD, general responsiveness)? Any bugs or weird glitches? How are the ADAS features in daily use (lane assist, ACC, speed alerts, etc.)? And overall, how does the car feel after a few weeks? I’ve seen quite a few complaints about software issues, so I’m wondering if things have improved recently or if they’re still a problem. Would really appreciate any honest feedback, especially from those who received their cars recently. Cheers.
  12. Dry clutches don't need a fluid change. DQ200 is a dry clutch gearbox.
  13. You need an ODIS / VCDS tool .
  14. He 😁, sper. Văd prea multe comentarii negative în jur (aici pe Briskoda e chiar bine) și mă cam bagă-n sperieți
  15. Is anyone here who got the car in the last month or so? Do you still experience issues with the infotainment or ADAS software? I wonder if the latest vehicles will get the latest fixes automatically. Mine is still in the manufacturing queue.
  16. Definitely, you do not have to change the oil. It is just a matter of a wrong warning from the car, for reasons you need to understand yourself :).
  17. Right, that seems to match the 20-22 weeks estimate for my car. Thanks for the response, @Akos98
  18. Ordered on January 31st, 2026. Expected delivery is in 20-22 weeks here in Romania. After 11 weeks, I am still waiting for the VIN. It's not available yet.
  19. Oh man, hope that you are so true. I am still waiting for my L&K to arrive and I am so scared about all the negative comments
